A pork grill house on Eoulmadang-ro 126-1, near Exit 9 of Hongik University Station, known for pork cheek (ppolsal) and pork belly cooked at the table. The main hall is on the ground floor, with a group room down a flight of stairs. Menu prices: pork belly 16,000 won and pork cheek 17,000 won per 200 g, and a 500 g mixed platter for 45,000 won; one couple paid 51,000 won for three cuts. Six posts ordered on a table tablet or kiosk, and 19 said side dishes are refilled from a self-serve bar. We read 23 posts from March 2025 to October 2026, all from people who ate there; 12 of them came out in August 2026 alone.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Twelve posts said staff grilled the meat for them, typically greasing the grill with fat, putting the belly on first and the marinated cheek last. Two posts grilled it themselves, one because staff were too busy, and another noted staff grill when they are not busy, so at peak times you may end up doing it yourself.
  2. Nineteen posts said extra side dishes come from a self-serve bar, which besides kimchi, bean sprouts and pickled onion holds corn salad, stir-fried fish cake, garlic and sesame oil. Lettuce and water parsley are not on it; four posts said extra greens cost money, and one in August 2026 listed 1,000 won for lettuce and 3,000 won for water parsley.
  3. Eleven posts noticed many foreign customers — one said every table but theirs was foreign — and posts mentioned menus and restroom signs in English, Chinese and Japanese.

Getting inside

In a basement9 of 23 posts
Toilet inside4 of 23 posts
Separate restrooms1 of 23 posts

Diners eat in the ground-floor hall; the basement is a group room. Nine posts went down the stairs to see it, and two warned the stairs are a bit steep, with a caution sign at the bottom. The figure of 50 seats was heard from staff, so we did not count it.

No post said whether the entrance has a step or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in — not that it can't, just that nobody wrote about it. The basement group room was described only as reached by stairs; no post mentioned a lift.

Four posts said the restroom is inside the restaurant, so there is no need to step outside. One added that it has separate men's and women's sides behind black doors, with a small hand-washing sink in the corridor.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • No post described waiting in line. Three posts found it nearly full or filling fast — Saturday lunch, a weekday around 7 p.m., Sunday at 1 p.m. — but none said they had to wait.
  • Fourteen posts gave the same opening hours, daily 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. with last order at 1 a.m., though mostly as copied info blocks. One June 2025 post copied 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. with Sundays closed, which contradicts its own 'daily', so we set it aside.
  • Most prices held steady, but pork jowl went from 17,000 won for 150 g in a June 2025 menu table to 18,000 won in August and October 2026. Posts split five to four on whether the soybean stew came free or had to be ordered, and none gave its price. Two posts begrudged the 2,000 won rice and one found the 23,000 won beef intestine pricey.
  • Five posts gave the phone number as 0507-1387-0570 and two as 02-3142-0570. Several mentioned booking through Naver, but no post said they actually reserved.
  • The 12 posts from August 2026 repeat the phrase 'Hongdae group dinner' and walk through the basement room, the self-serve bar and staff grilling in the same order. One post tagged itself as a sponsored review, one said the writer paid, and the other 21 said nothing either way. Each still records its own order and seating, so we counted them all.
