Sinhodeung Pocha

신호등포차 Sinhodeung means traffic light and pocha is a casual Korean drinking spot; the room is themed on traffic lights, with signal lamps lit around the room and road-line markings on the floor.

A large pocha on the second floor at 3 Janbari-ro, in Hongdae's club street. You order from a tablet at each table, and the same screen runs games against other tables, a chat function and song requests. Prices quoted in posts run from 8,000 won (corn cheese) to 20,500 won (cheese chicken); chive pork belly and spicy boneless chicken feet are the most-ordered dishes. Two posts said you hand over an ID at the door. We read 17 posts from February to September 2026; 14 describe an actual visit. Two disclose sponsorship, one says the writer paid, and the rest say nothing.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. Size is the most repeated point: 10 of the 14 visit posts said the room is large, one joking you could lose your own table after a few drinks. One noted the tables are spaced widely enough to hold a conversation.
  2. Nine posts mentioned the big screens. They usually show music videos or cartoons; one post watched an Asian Games baseball final there, and another said staff asked whether to turn on the football audio.
  3. Eight posts said you order on the table tablet; one added that calling staff is done on the same screen.
  4. Ten posts called it cheap. One sponsored post said dakgalbi with rice balls, Nagasaki jjamppong, an orange juice and a beer for two came to about 50,000 won.

  1. Three posts said the spicy boneless chicken feet really are hot; one said the dakgalbi is not. These are different dishes.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Getting inside

Second floor4 of 14 posts
Separate restrooms1 of 14 posts

The bar is upstairs: four posts described climbing the stairs to the second floor, one saying the staircase is to the right of the menu board out front.

Nobody said whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in or whether there is a lift; posts only describe taking the stairs. That means unknown, not absent.

No visit post said where the toilets are; 'men's and women's toilets inside' appears only in copied info blocks. Several posts did note hair irons and mouthwash in the restroom.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 16 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Six posts share the same hashtag string and read like commissioned copy even without a disclosure. Two machine-written info posts with no visit were not counted. The '1,000-won soju for a review' and 'highball 1+1' offers are the bar's own promotions, so we did not treat them as evidence.
  • No post mentioned waiting for a table. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is never a wait.
  • All opening hours are copied from info blocks. Everyone agrees on a 5 pm opening, but closing time varies: 6 am in four posts, 5 am in two, and 5 am Sunday to Thursday with 6 am Friday and Saturday in three. Listed as open every day. Check before going.
  • Only three posts listed prices, and beyond the roughly 50,000 won for two above, nobody said what a person typically spends. The '7,000 to 33,700 won' range from a machine-written post was not counted.
  • Five posts gave the phone number 0507-1407-3554. Nobody described making a reservation; 'reservations available' appears only in copied info blocks.
