서원안길 합정 Seowon can be read as the old word for a Confucian academy and angil as an inner lane, so the name reads roughly 'the lane inside the academy'; the cafe also uses the two halves as names for its two coffee blends, Seowon and Angil.

A large brunch cafe on the ground and first floors of a building in a lane off Hapjeong Station exit 3 (34 Janggari-ro 3-gil). We read 30 posts dated 20 March to 8 October 2026; 29 describe a visit, and all but one of those are from September–October 2026. You check the menu by the QR code on the table, order at the ground-floor counter, and collect your food when the buzzer goes. Posts give the americano at 6,000 won, Basque cheesecake at 6,400, the shrimp-and-herb-oil plate at 19,000 and the ragu pasta at 28,000. Several posts say the upper floor is open only 11:00–18:00, and three people arrived after it had closed and sat downstairs. Most September–October posts share the same keyword phrases in their titles; three disclose sponsorship or support.

What sets it apart
- Eleven posts call it quiet for its size — 'not noisy at all even with quite a few people' — and two say the upper floor is quieter still. Several mention people working on laptops on weekday afternoons and early evenings.
- Eleven posts say the portions are large: a jambon sandwich that was 'really huge', a Caesar salad 'really big', a tteokbokki set 'quite generous', and one 8,000-won sourdough loaf that lasted a week.
- There is outdoor seating: six posts mention a terrace or outside tables, and one sat out there. Another calls it a 'half-outdoor' space, which we left undecided. Several posts mention the big windows being opened in good weather.

Only one post actually parked — driving with a friend and getting 'the one spot left'. The '3–4 spaces' and '2,000 won off with a parking stub' lines are copied in many posts, and one post's info block says the opposite: no dedicated parking.

No post describes the entrance step or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. Two copied info blocks mention wheelchair access, which we did not rely on. One post says the cafe sits on an uphill lane with the ground floor raised 'like a 1.5th floor', and another climbed a metal staircase to the upper floor. Nobody mentioned a lift — that means we don't know, not that there isn't one.
The toilets are inside. Four posts say so; two note there are toilets on both floors and one says they are at the very back. All four compare them to a hotel. Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in copied info blocks, so we did not count that.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 30 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post mentions waiting. Some went at opening or just before last order and found it quiet; one only guesses weekends would be full. Nobody wrote from a weekend lunch, so we don't know about queues.
- Opening hours vary from post to post. The most common version is weekdays 09:30–20:00 (last order 19:00), Saturday 11:00–22:00, Sunday 11:00–21:00, with the upper floor open 11:00–18:00. Two posts give a 09:00 weekday opening, and one each gives daily 08:00–20:00 and daily 11:00–21:30. Four list a separate 18:30 food last order, and two found that only drinks and desserts were served early in the morning or late in the evening. A March 2026 post gave weekdays 09:00–21:00 and weekends 10:00–21:00, so the hours seem to have changed since.
- Prices mostly agree, except for the ragu pasta: one post says 28,000 won, another 'low 20,000s'. Two posts call it good value; one says the pasta is pricey but worth it. For a whole meal, one person paid 26,800 won for a benedict, ice cream and americano; another 40,400 won for the chicken steak, an americano and cheesecake.
- Most posts give the phone number as 0507-1386-2763; several give 02-335-2763 for parking enquiries, and one post alone lists 0507-1365-8941. Reservations and private hire appear only in copied info; nobody wrote about actually booking.
- Most September–October 2026 posts repeat the same three keyword phrases in titles and text, which looks like commissioned promotion, yet only three disclose sponsorship or support. The March 2026 post said a third floor would open soon; no later post mentions one.
