PUZUOK
푸주옥 Pujuok Puju is an old word for a butcher's shop (as in pujutgan), and ok means house — roughly 'the butcher's house'.

Pujuok's Hongdae branch is a seolleongtang and gomtang house on the ground floor of 35 World Cup-buk-ro, a short walk from Exit 1 of Hongik Univ. Station. It opens at 7 a.m. and serves ox-bone soup simmered in big cauldrons, with beef and thin noodles in the bowl, for 15,000 won (ten posts give that price). The special version is 18,000, knee-cartilage soup 22,000, oxtail 25,000, and cold noodles at 12,000 join the menu in summer. You order on a tablet at the table and pay on the way out; the broth comes unsalted, so you season it yourself. A May 2026 post calls the place newly opened, and three posts note it is a chain branch. We read 30 posts dated 9 February to 8 October 2026; 28 of them, from 11 May to 8 October 2026, are about this restaurant, and all 28 describe an actual meal. We set aside one post about the Yongsan branch and one job-listing page.

Rows without a count: 14 of 22 posts.
Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The broth arrives unseasoned — seven posts say so, one noting it was 'not salted at all'. Salt, pepper and chopped scallions sit on every table. One post points out there is no red chili paste, so a companion who wanted it spicy poured in kimchi juice instead.
- Food comes fast: eight posts describe it arriving soon after ordering, timed at under five minutes and within seven. The repeated line about quick, hearty lunches for office workers is, by one blogger's own account, what the staff told them, so we did not count it.
- Coffee after the meal is free — eight posts mention the machine by the entrance; one says it does both instant mix and brewed, another mentions peppermint candies too.
- Each table has a small ordering tablet (seven posts). One post notes a one-dish-per-person sign that is also written in Japanese; another says cold noodles appear only on the tablet, not the paper menu.
2 more
- The room is large — twenty-one posts say so; two mention window seats looking onto street trees, and one says it is mostly four-person tables, some pushed together for groups. The '50+ seats' figure is a repeated stock phrase, so we did not rely on it.
- Portions are generous: seventeen posts say there was plenty of meat and noodles, and two say the cold noodles came in a basin-sized bowl. One post differs, calling the meat 'about right for the price'.

You can park here, which is rare in central Hongdae: nineteen posts say so, one describing driving in on a Sunday night, and several say it is free. Four posts advise calling ahead to check for a space.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

9 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 2 (of 27 posts read) |
|---|
No post describes the entrance step or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller; 'wheelchair-accessible entrance' appears only in one copied info block. Two posts note from their own visit that the restaurant is on the ground floor.
Nobody wrote about using the toilet. One post's info table says it is on the second floor with no door code, and two copied blocks say it is split by gender; whether it is inside the restaurant we don't know.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- How many cars fit is unclear: one post says about two spaces, another about six, and posts place the lot to the left of the building, to the right, or behind the restaurant.
- No post mentions waiting. One walked straight in at 9 p.m. on a Sunday, and several saw a busy lunchtime crowd. That doesn't mean there's never a line — nobody said whether they had to wait at lunch.
- Fourteen posts give 7 a.m.–11 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 7 a.m.–10 p.m. Sunday, mostly copied from listings. Two say 11 p.m. every day, including Sunday, and one says Sunday closes at 10:30 p.m. Six say it is open every day of the year; one says there is no afternoon break, and another ate there after 2:30 p.m.
- Reports of the seolleongtang price differ: ten posts say 15,000 won, two say 13,000, and one of those also says 12,000 in the body. All date from September–October 2026, so we don't read this as a price change. One post calls it a bit pricey for seolleongtang; another calls it good value.
- Ten posts give the phone number 0507-1312-4635 and two give 02-336-4635. Reservations appear only in copied listings; nobody we read actually booked.
- The same lines recur — 'no powder, real knee bones only', '50+ seats', 'free dumplings for a review', 'double broth for takeaway'. Beyond the six posts that disclose sponsorship and one that says it was invited, several posts that disclose nothing use them in the same order. We treat these as the restaurant's own brief and did not count them. Only one post actually took food away.
- Cold noodles are a summer item: they are missing from menu lists in May and June 2026, first appear in a 5 July post, and a 1 September post says they were 'still on'. We don't know whether they are served now.
