Odarijip & Daejanggeum

오다리집&대장금 Daejanggeum is the name of the legendary Joseon royal-court cook made famous by the TV drama; the posts never explain the 'Odarijip' half of the name.

A soy-marinated crab set-meal house on the second and third floors of a building on Jandari-ro 6-gil, near Hongik University Station. You pick a crab size and order by head count; the set comes with soy-marinated shrimp, steamed egg, kimchi stew, side dishes and roe rice topped with seaweed flakes, and many diners added scallion pancake, beef tartare, makgeolli or highballs. Only one post gives a price: 100,000 won for an XXL set for two, roughly 50,000 won a head. We read 30 posts dated February 13 to June 6, 2026; 21 describe actually eating there, but 19 of those look like commissioned copy written from one template, so the counts below repeat the same lines many times.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. All 19 posts that describe the walk start from Exit 9 of Hongik University Station: 11 say five minutes, 7 say three to four, and one says five to six. All 19 are from the same template.
  2. Nineteen posts say the marinade is not salty and none says it is; the one independent visit post agrees, calling it neither strongly seasoned nor fishy nor heavy on herbal notes.
  3. Sixteen posts mention a wall covered in celebrity photos and autographs.
  4. One post says you order from a kiosk at each table; the same writer took the elevator up and found the XL size sold out that day.
1 more
  1. Four posts say they saw foreign diners; one writer brought a Japanese friend, who went back alone for lunch the next day.

The most ordered dish is ganjang gejang jeongsik (간장게장 정식) — 21 of 21 posts.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Getting inside

Lift to the floor1 of 21 posts

The address says second and third floors, but no post says which floor they ate on; one mentions taking the elevator.

No one mentions a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller — that means we don't know, not that it is inaccessible.

No one describes the restroom from experience; one post's copied listing block says it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 9 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-02-192 posts in one day
2026-02-183 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Of the 21 visit posts, 19 follow the same outline ('1. exterior and location … 5. verdict') and reuse nearly identical lines about roomy tables, walls of celebrity photos and crab that is 'not salty'. Only three of the 30 posts disclose sponsorship, and one still contains a leftover instruction, '(mosaic required)'. The '100% Yeonpyeong-island L-size female crab' line is the house's own claim, copied by the posts, and we do not rely on it. Only two posts read as independent: one about kiosk ordering and a sold-out size, and one self-paid post that gives prices.
  • Sixteen posts call the prices reasonable, but only one gives actual figures (100,000 won for an XXL set for two, about 50,000 won a head). We don't know the prices of other sizes or the extra dishes.
  • Twenty visit posts list opening hours as 10:00-23:00 daily, but every one copied it from the Naver listing; nobody reports a break time, last order or closing day of their own.
  • Many posts copy the phone number 0507-1462-2454, but none says they booked ahead.
  • No post says whether they waited or walked straight in; we don't know about queues.
  • All 15 posts that say who they went with went with friends. None went with family or children, so we can't say how it suits a family meal — 'looks good for family gatherings' is only a guess.
