Bar

Nyuteuro 2010 Hongdae-jeom

뉴트로2010 홍대점 Newtro is a Korean coinage of 'new' and 'retro'; this branch plays 2010s pop and serves old-school childhood snacks as the free bar snack.

A pocha on the 3rd floor of Jandari-ro 3 in Mapo-gu, the Hongdae branch of a chain that plays 2010s pop and videos and hands out old-school snacks as a free starter. Writers describe it as a place for groups of friends drinking late over gochujang beef tartare, three-flavour boneless chicken and yogurt soju. We read 20 posts from 21 June 2025 to 28 April 2026; three were about other places, and 16 describe a visit. Eleven of those visits were written in July 2025.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. A free basket of old-school snacks arrives when you sit down; eleven posts mention it, several listing jjondigi, potato crisps and ramen snack. One late-July 2025 post says you picked three snacks before going in.
  2. Ten posts ordered the triple boneless chicken and eight called it crisp; five also said it was juicy inside. Two posts said the beef tartare had no off smell.
  3. Five posts said the room is large with many tables, good for groups; one listed tables for two to four, group seating and single seats.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 15 posts read)

It is on the 3rd floor; one post mentions going up, but nobody said whether there is a lift or only stairs.

No one wrote about steps at the entrance or wheelchair or stroller access; that means we don't know, not that there is none.

No one said whether the toilet is inside the bar; one post's 'separate men's and women's toilets' was copied from the listing, so we didn't count it.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 16 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Seven posts said prices were low, all from July 2025. Only one post gave prices (22,900 won each for the tartare and chicken, 14,900 won for Oreo bingsu), so we don't know what a typical night costs. A November 2025 post says there was a minimum order and they had to prepay two bottles of soju before entering.
  • Eleven posts from 16 to 31 July 2025 follow the same template: same dishes, same free snacks, keyword titles like 'Hapjeong station bar'. Two of them disclose payment. Later posts read differently: a November 2025 Friday-night visit found it nearly empty and advised against it, and posts from December 2025 and 2026 describe being pulled in by street promoters or leaving because only club EDM was playing.
  • Waiting is split: one July 2025 post says it filled up to the point of a queue later in the evening, while a November 2025 post found it almost empty. Three more posts say they had heard of queues and went at opening time, but none said they actually waited, so we didn't count them.
  • Noise is disputed: one post found it quiet enough to talk, another said the lasers and speakers hurt their eyes and ears. More posts simply describe loud, upbeat music.
  • Nobody described walking from a station or bus stop; one post only notes it is closer to Sangsu station than Hongik University station.
  • Five posts give the same hours, daily 18:00 to 06:00, but all are copied listing blocks from July 2025; nobody mentioned closing days or last orders.
  • Three posts list the phone number 010-2655-8644 from the shop's listing; nobody said whether it takes reservations.
