Muil Guksu is a Macau-style noodle shop on Wausan-ro 21-gil near exit 9 of Hongik University Station, next to a CU convenience store, opened on 16 May 2025. You order at a kiosk by the door, choosing beef, pork, seafood or dumplings, and get rice noodles with bean sprouts plus toppings. Posts put the medium mixed bowls at 8,800 won and the dumpling bowl at 7,800 won. We read 24 posts dated May 2025 to September 2026; 19 are about this shop and 17 record an actual meal. The other five were about a drama character, a fortune-telling classic, a calligraphy show and a wheat farm called Muil Nongsan. Fourteen of the 17 meals were written up between 17 and 30 May, right after opening; after that there is one post each in June, July and October.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Size of the bowl is the most repeated point: 14 of the 17 meal posts said the portion or toppings were generous. One writer said she nearly burst and would order the small next time; two counted three to four and four to five pork ribs in the pork bowl. Nobody called the portion small.
- Of the 12 posts that discussed price, 11 called it good value and none called it expensive. Prices given: 8,800 won for a medium mixed bowl, 7,800 for the dumpling bowl, 4,500/5,000/5,500 won for a small/medium/large base, and 1,500 to 2,400 won per topping. One post claimed every bowl was 6,900 won, which matches no other post. All of these are May 2025 prices.
- It is bigger inside than it looks. Of 15 posts that described the room, 13 said it was spacious, one writing that the entrance looked small but the hall was huge. One post called it both small and fairly roomy, so we count it as undecided. One post listed tables for two, four and six, another seats for one, two and four, and three mentioned large windows or folding doors that open up.
- Ten posts said you order at the kiosk by the entrance. Water is self-serve, there are no side dishes, and several posts described chopped hot chilli and pickled chillies on every table, with a screen suggesting one spoon of chilli for roughly Shin Ramyun heat.
4 more
- Food comes fast: five posts said so, one estimating about five minutes. No post complained of a slow kitchen.
- Six posts noted the open kitchen, where you can watch the noodles being boiled and plated.
- Four posts from May 2025 mentioned a Naver receipt-review promotion; one said showing the review to staff got you a free can of soda. We do not know if it still runs.
- Many posts pitch it as a solo-lunch spot, but only two writers actually went alone; three went with friends, one with a partner and one with her mother.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
2 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
The registered address says ground floor of building A, but no post described the floor from experience.
No post mentions a step at the door, stairs, or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller; one only notes there are two entrances. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is no barrier.
Nobody said whether the toilet is inside or separated by gender; it appears only as a tick in one copied info block.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 19 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Fourteen of the 17 meal posts fall in the first two weeks after opening, and several share the same hashtag set and the same directions from a karaoke-bar corner. None disclose sponsorship, but they may be launch promotion. An August 2025 affiliate-link post copied a May post almost word for word, so we did not count it.
- Two posts said from experience that it is close to the subway (under five minutes from Hongik Univ. exit 9, six to seven from Hapjeong exit 3); lines like '555 m from exit 9' elsewhere are copied. No one described a bus route.
- No one reported waiting. Posts say the hall was busy at lunch, one guessing over 70 percent full, but nobody queued. Reservations appear only as 'available' in copied info.
- Opening hours: 13 posts gave 11:00 to 21:00, 11 of them with last order at 20:30, all copied from listing info. One post from 18 May 2025 alone gave 11:30 to 21:00 with a 15:00 to 17:00 break, while another that day said there is no break. No post after May 2025 gives hours.
- Only one post dissented on the broth, finding it slightly greasy until chilli was added; another said it was not oily at all, and the rest called it clean and refreshing.
- Eleven posts list the phone as 0507-1323-6173; one gives 0507-1340-8790. No one wrote about booking by phone.
