Miseuteo Ramen

미스터라멘 Mister Ramen — simply 'Mister' plus ramen, the Japanese noodle soup; the posts give no further story behind the name.

Compiled from 9 blog posts read in fullSources →

A half-basement ramen shop on an Eoulmadang-ro side street near Hongik Univ. Station. It serves tonkotsu, spicy tonkotsu, Nagasaki, mala, tantanmen, shoyu and shio ramen plus a chashu rice bowl, with gyoza and karaage on the side, and you order at a kiosk by the door. In posts from September 2026 on, a bowl costs 11,000–13,000 won; through August it was 8,500–10,000 won. We read 30 posts dated 9 January to 26 October 2026. Nine are actual visits, 20 were about other shops with similar names, and one we could not sort out.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Portions are large. Of the nine visits, all seven that mentioned quantity said so — one regretted ordering extra rice, another said the bowl never seemed to shrink. Two posts note that the ramen comes with two eggs.
  2. Five posts describe the seating. A September 2026 post counted four single seats, four two-tops and two four-tops; others mention bar seating along the window, two- and four-person tables that can be pushed together, and two posts mention an outdoor area — a tented semi-outdoor section (March) and outdoor seats (August).
  3. Three posts mention the kiosk; two ordered there at the entrance, and one in September 2026 noted that menu changes had not been updated on the kiosk or on Naver Map. Two posts say food arrived quickly — four dishes within five minutes, in one case.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

In a basement3 of 9 posts

The shop sits half a level below the street; three posts describe stepping down to the entrance, behind the sign. Two say the red awning and signboard make it easy to find.

Three posts say you step down into the half-basement, but none says how many steps there are, whether there is a threshold, or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That is unknown, not a no.

No post says whether the toilet is inside the shop or whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 10 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Opening hours changed. Three posts through August 2026 give 11:00–21:00, closed Tuesdays, no break. Four posts from 14 September on give 10:30 opening, closing at 20:00 on weekdays and 20:30 on weekends, with a 16:00–17:00 weekend break, and say nothing about Tuesdays; one of them has Saturday closing at 20:00 too. Most of these are copied listings, so check before going.
  • Prices went up. In August 2026 the Nagasaki ramen and tantanmen were 10,000 won and the house Mister Ramen 8,500; by late September the Nagasaki was 11,500, and in October tonkotsu was 11,000 and spicy tonkotsu 11,500. All three posts calling it cheap predate September.
  • Heat levels vary by dish. Two posts found things genuinely spicy (the spicy Nagasaki made one writer cough), one said the spicy tonkotsu's heat stays in the background, and staff told one diner the mala ramen is milder than Shin Ramyun.
  • No post describes waiting here. Two writers came because another ramen shop nearby had a long line, and one noted quick turnover. That means nobody reported a wait, not that there never is one.
  • Two phone numbers appear: 02-336-4223 in two posts (March and August 2026) and 0507-1440-4223 in a copied listing from September. No post says whether reservations are taken.
