A stir-fried octopus house in the building at 146 Eoulmadang-ro, a few minutes' walk from Hongik University Station exit 7. Octopus (15,000 won a person) or octopus with pork belly (17,000) goes on an iron pan, staff stir it for you, and near the end you get fried rice heaped with flying-fish roe, included in the price. Two posts say the minimum is two portions. We read 30 posts dated 2 May to 20 October 2026, 26 of them actual visits. The registry lists this address as a 'branch', but every post calls it the Hongdae main shop.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Thirteen posts said most of the other diners were foreign visitors — one found every table but theirs on the third floor was foreign, another put Japanese and Chinese guests at over 90%. Some noted foreign part-time staff, and two said the menu is in Korean and English.
- Eleven posts said staff came by to stir and cook the pan. For the fried rice, several describe staff asking first, moving the leftover octopus to a bowl and taking the pan back to the kitchen. One diner returning after about ten years remembered it being fried at the table and found it now comes from the kitchen.
- Banchan are perilla leaves, pickled radish, bean sprouts and cabbage salad; ten posts went back to the self-serve bar for more. Some found mayonnaise and garlic there, one missed seaweed and kelp noodles. Several suggest tipping the sprouts into the pan to tame the heat.
- Seven posts described a separate waiting area beside the entrance. One took a numbered ticket and waited there on chairs; others noted rows of chairs out front.

Only one post dealt with parking first-hand: none at the shop, so they used the Donggyo 1 public lot nearby. The other post that came by car used the same lot. 'No parking' appears in several posts, but only in copied info boxes.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 15 of 25 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 3 (of 25 posts read) |
The shop runs up through the whole building. Fifteen posts were seated upstairs; the floors step up by half-levels, so one diner thought she was on the second floor and found she was on the third. Posts also mention a separate annex reached by a side staircase. Three sat at windows over the street, and one noted floor seating upstairs.
No one mentioned a step at the door, wheelchair or stroller access, or a lift. Upper floors are reached by half-flights of stairs. Three posts described ground-floor seating, so it is not a basement.
No post said from experience whether the toilet is inside or split by gender; those details appear only in copied info boxes. One post found the restroom very clean, with a sink at its entrance.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Waits vary. Seven posts queued — about 20 minutes around 7pm on a Friday, 10 minutes on a Saturday evening. Eight walked straight in, among them diners who came at the 11:30 opening or at 5:20pm on a weekday. One gave up at 9:30pm because of the line but got in at once around 10pm another night.
- Thirteen posts found it spicy and five found it milder than expected. One ordered the mild level and still found it hot; others compared mild to Shin or Jin Ramyun and the spicy level to Buldak noodles. Three noted a strong sweetness, and one found it salty.
- Portions split: four posts found them generous, two found the octopus alone a bit small.
- Five posts found the staff friendly; one called them very unfriendly. One diner whose no-roe request came out wrong got a fresh batch of fried rice.
- Two posts said from experience that it was a short walk from the station. Many others give the exit-7 directions, mostly copied from Naver Place.
- Seventeen visit posts list the same hours, 11:30 to 2am daily, but nearly all copied them from Naver Place. No one mentioned a break or last order. One listing post gave 11pm as closing.
- Mains run 15,000–18,000 won a person with the fried rice included. One receipt post for four lists two portions each of the brisket and pork-belly versions (36,000 and 34,000 won) plus jelly soup, cheese fondue, beer and cider — 98,000 won for the items listed. No one gave the price of the shrimp version.
- The phone number 0507-1407-7943 appears in many posts, but 'reservations accepted' only shows up in copied info boxes; no one said they booked.
- One post reads like a visit but contradicts the others on the banchan and follows a stock template, so we left it out. One post disclosed that the meal was provided.
