Humming Bella is a dessert café in a converted house at 57 Dongmak-ro 7-gil in Seogyo-dong, between Hapjeong and Sangsu stations and across from Gentle Monster Hongdae. The ground floor holds two other shops, Bella Cookie and Bella Croissant; the café itself is up a green staircase on the second and third floors. It is known for chiffon cakes. The most-ordered one, the Dojima-cream chiffon, costs 14,000 won, and an Americano is 5,000 won. Egg tarts and scones sit on a round table, and you serve yourself wearing plastic gloves. There is a large garden and terrace, and in April people come for the lilac. What sets it apart
- Twenty of the posts by visitors mention the garden and terrace seating, and how people used it depends on the season. April posts describe arriving early to sit under the lilac. From May on, posts say it was too hot to sit outside: in August one writer found the terrace empty because of the heat, and in May another moved outdoors because the air conditioning in the terrace-side room upstairs had not been switched on yet. Several writers say they plan to come back when it cools down.
- Three posts say the table in front of the lilac tree has been made a photo spot, with a posted five-minute limit. One writer says it used to be an ordinary outdoor table until a customer sat there all day. The limit applies only to that table; no post mentions a time limit anywhere else.
- Six posts call it quiet and one found it noisy. The noisy visit was on a weekday, 15 April, at the height of lilac season: the upper floor filled up fast and the writer says voices echoed more than expected. Another post from the same day, written by someone who arrived at opening, found the inside quiet.
- Posts split three to three on sweetness. Those who had the blueberry cake, the Dojima chiffon and an unnamed cake found them sweet; those who had the orange milk-tea chiffon, a strawberry chiffon and the chocolate scone found them less sweet than expected. It seems to depend on the cake.

There is no lot of the café's own. Two posts say they actually drove, and both parked at the nearby Turu Parking lot at KT&G Sangsang Madang Hongdae. One adds that you mention it when paying and staff validate the ticket. Two posts say spending 25,000 won or more gets one free hour and that it costs 1,300 won per 10 minutes after that. The parking notes in other posts are copied from the Naver listing.

Nineteen posts describe the café as spread over two floors, but they number the floors differently: most say 2F and 3F, four posts call the same rooms 1F and 2F, and the registered address says 1F–2F. The lower floor has the counter and dessert display; the upper floor has more seats and a door out to a terrace. Several posts mention many people studying or working on laptops upstairs.
The café is on the upper floors, and every post that describes getting in mentions stairs: a green staircase, or a small and a large one. No one mentions a lift or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That does not mean there is no other way in, only that no one wrote about one.
Two posts say the toilets are inside the café. One mentions a women's toilet next to the counter; the other says the upstairs toilet is unisex and the one on the lower floor is women-only (this writer calls the café's lower floor 1F). A copied listing puts the women's toilet on 2F and the men's on 3F. One writer who went during lilac season gave up on the toilet because people were using it to change outfits for photos.

What we do not know
- One post mentions queueing to get in: on 15 April, at the height of lilac season, the writer arrived at opening and found many people already waiting. Other April posts describe a line to photograph the lilac, which is not a line to get in. Posts from an August Friday night and a May weekday evening found seats available. No one wrote about waits on weekend afternoons outside lilac season.
- The opening hours depend on when the post was written. Posts from April to August 2026 say it opens at 11:00 and closes at 22:00 Sunday to Thursday (last order 21:30) and at 23:00 on Friday and Saturday, with no regular day off. Two September posts give 10:00–20:00 with Tuesdays off. All of these are copied from the Naver listing, so we could not confirm the change. A 29 September post also saw an early-closing notice on the door that day. Check before you go.
- Prices vary slightly between posts from the same period. Two posts give 5,000 won for an Americano and one gives 5,500; three give 14,000 won for the Dojima chiffon and one gives 14,900. As for the bill, one April post paid 25,000 won for two coffees and one chiffon for two people. Two posts call the chiffon cakes on the pricey side.
- Many posts give the same phone number, 0507-1478-7050. Only the mini chiffon cake is said to be bookable, through Naver, and one post showed an actual reservation receipt. No one wrote about whether you can reserve a table.
- Many posts open with the Naver listing pasted in: hours, '466 m from Hapjeong Exit 3', the parking voucher, pets allowed, separate men's and women's toilets. We treated these lines as copied and did not count them. On pets, we counted only the one post whose writer brought a dog and photographed it at the terrace photo spot.
