Gangnam Dwaeji Sanghoe Muhan Rihil Hongdae-jeom

강남 돼지상회 무한리필 홍대점 Dwaeji sanghoe means 'pork shop' and muhan rihil is Korean for all-you-can-eat; despite the Gangnam in its name, this is the chain's directly run Hongdae branch.

Compiled from 23 blog posts read in fullSources →

An all-you-can-eat pork house on an alley off Hongdae's Exit 9, at Hongik-ro 5an-gil 28, ground floor. You fill a board with pork belly, neck, gabrisal, galmaegisal, thin beef brisket, shaved belly, honeycomb skin and bulgogi from the self-bar and grill it on a cast-iron cauldron lid. Course A costs 17,900 won, B adds soy-glazed chicken for 19,900 won, and the F full course at 23,900 won also makes naengmyeon, soft drinks and rice unlimited; these prices held across every post we read. Of 24 visits, 21 ordered F. We read 30 posts dated 17 July to 7 October 2026; four were about other restaurants that merely linked here and two were multi-venue lists, leaving 24 first-hand visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Twenty of 24 visitors said the room is large; one put it as small-looking from outside but huge once you are in. Two mentioned a separate room by the counter that groups can book, and one described rows of eight-seat tables. The oft-repeated '100 pyeong' figure is hearsay and we did not rely on it.
  2. Eight posts said there were many foreign customers, one claiming tourists at almost every table, and several noted the menu at the door is also in English, Chinese and Japanese. University students and sports teams in groups come up repeatedly too.
  3. For a pork house, the chicken gets a lot of attention: most visitors ate the soy-glazed boneless chicken, and nine called the batter crisp. One quoted a husband saying they could open a chicken place on the strength of it.
  4. Five posts noted a two-hour limit per table; one added that leftover food is fined 5,000 won.

  1. Six posts said it is an easy walk from the station: five, five to six, seven, or under ten minutes from Hongik University Station Exit 9.
  2. Opinions on off-flavours are split: four posts said the meat had no gamey smell, one said the gabrisal did.
  3. Visitors came with friends (5), a husband or boyfriend (4), family (2) and as a booked group (1). Three posts said it is too loud for quiet conversation.

There is no restaurant parking: five posts said so, all pointing to the paid lot opposite or right in front. One visitor drove and used it, and another listed the nearby Seogyo Plaza lot at 2,000 won for 30 minutes and 5,000 won for an hour.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 23 posts read)
Toilet inside3 of 23 posts

Only one post described the floor first-hand, saying it is on the ground floor; the rest just copied '1st floor' from the address.

We don't know about steps at the entrance or wheelchair and pushchair access. Nobody wrote about it, which is not the same as saying there are barriers.

Three posts said the toilet is inside the restaurant, one adding it looked newly renovated and clean. Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in copied listing info, so we did not count it.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 25 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Waiting is disputed: two posts reported long queues, three walked straight in (one around 7 pm on a Saturday), and two only guessed there might be a wait.
  • The beef large intestine is gone: a post describing a 28 March 2026 visit saw it on the bar, but from 25 July posts say supply stopped, and two September posts found beef tripe in its place. Doenjang stew was part of the course in early August; late-August posts say it was dropped with a grill renewal and now costs 2,000 won extra.
  • Twenty posts all list opening hours of 11:30 to midnight daily, but every one is copied listing info, and none mentions a closing day. One post with a mismatched address and phone said 11:30 pm; we set it aside. The free iced chocolate between 11:30 and 17:00 is likewise hearsay.
  • Ten posts give the phone number as 02-322-8891; one post with a mismatched listing gives 02-322-1206. One group said they booked ahead and were seated at the back.
  • On price, most posts call the courses good value for around 20,000 won, though one said 23,900 won may not feel cheap if you can't eat much. Two posts disclosed sponsorship (a voucher and a paid post), and several share the same hashtag set and 'Hongdae company dinner' phrasing, so some commissioned copy is likely mixed in.
