Deogiwa Hapjeong
더기와 합정점 Giwa is the traditional Korean clay roof tile, and one post reads the name as 'The Giwa'; the sign out front is itself a tiled board.

A two-storey Korean pub in an alley off Dongmak-ro 3-gil, behind Hapjeong Station. Until 4 pm it serves lunch sets (the baekban at 10,000 won, the boiled-pork set at 15,000, plus 3,000 to swap in stone-pot rice); in the evening it is boiled pork, savoury pancakes and crab with flavoured makgeolli such as matcha, ube and roasted grain. There is outdoor seating by the entrance. We read 20 posts dated 23 April to 7 October 2026: 14 describe a visit, 4 are entries in multi-restaurant lists, and 2 turned out to be about other places.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Seven posts describe the outdoor tables by the entrance. A late-September visitor understood the outdoor season had just started, and an October post says you cannot get an outdoor table without a reservation. One post, about an undated earlier visit, says the ground-floor terrace tables had gone — it looks seasonal.
- Lunch comes up as good value: four posts say it is not expensive ("only 10,000 won" for the baekban; the 15,000-won set at a satisfying price). One post says friends called the makgeolli poor value while ordering more.
- Two posts describe free starters, and they changed: macaroni salad and pickles once; namul and bean sprouts on one visit, garlic-scape pickles and salad on the next.
- Mostly mild. Two posts found the food not spicy — one asked for extra hot peppers in the kimchi hotpot — while one March 2026 diner found the spring-cabbage bibimbap hotter and saltier than expected.

- Four posts booked ahead; one was shown to a terrace room on arrival. Three posts saw private rooms themselves.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 6 of 14 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 4 (of 14 posts read) |
There are two floors. Six posts mention the upstairs and four say they sat on the ground floor; one Sunday-lunch visitor was sent upstairs because the ground floor was full. Posts mention the stairs; none mentions a lift.
No post says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in — not that there is a barrier, just that nobody wrote about it.
No one described the toilets from experience; 'separate men's and women's toilets' appears only in one post's copied listing.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 18 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- One post booked a 12:30 lunch, waited to be seated and found the food very slow; no other post commented on speed.
- Nobody wrote that they waited. One couple walked in around 6 pm and saw a queue as they left; another saw staff setting up the waiting-list kiosk. One post says the list is on CatchTable.
- Only one post says from experience that it is close to Hapjeong Station; the '269 m from exit 3' and bus-stop directions in other posts are copied listing text.
- Seven posts list opening hours, all copied: 11:30 am to 1:30 am, with the 2 am late night given as Friday and Saturday (two posts), Saturday only (one) or Friday only (one). Three posts say there is no afternoon break and lunch dishes are served until 4 pm. No visitor mentioned a closing day.
- Lunch and dinner prices differ. Lunch: baekban 10,000 won (two posts), boiled-pork set 15,000 (two), spicy-pork set 13,000 (one). Dinner dishes: potato pancake 21,000, beef pancake 28,000, scallop bossam 42,000 or 43,000 (an earlier visit vs October), grilled crab 45,000. No one said what dinner cost per person; '20,000-30,000 won a head' comes from a list post.
- Four posts copy the same phone number, 0507-1416-1913. One visitor booked through Naver; another says the walk-in waiting list runs on CatchTable.
