Dam_Meal
담밀 Dammil The shop styles itself Dam_Meal, a play on the English word 'meal'; in Korean 'dam' can be read as 담다 (to fill a bowl) or 담 (a stone wall), and the posts do not say which one the owners meant.

A kimchi-stew shop at the entrance of the 'Tasty Street' food court on the basement level of Mecenatpolis Mall, connected to Hapjeong Station exits 9 and 10. Each diner orders their own pot: the basic stew is 9,000 won, and you add toppings such as pork (3,000 won) or ramen noodles (1,000 won), or pick a fusion version like meatball pasta (13,000 won), vongole (14,500 won) or egg-in-hell (15,000 won). The pot sits on an induction plate hidden in the table, each seat has its own water tap and shakers of seaweed, garlic and chili flakes, and the meal ends with a piece of fruit (watermelon in July, tangerine in late August, Shine Muscat grapes from mid-September). We read 30 posts from 10 July to 16 October 2026; 28 describe an actual visit, and 29 of the 30 were written after 25 August.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Sixteen posts say rice, broth and side dishes are refilled, and some describe actually getting seconds of the potato salad or rice. One notes you ask the staff for more, so it is a refill on request rather than a self-serve bar.
- Eleven posts say you order through a QR code at your seat (one calls it a tablet) and pay on the way out. Two warn that noodle add-ons can only go in with the first order.
- Nine posts mention a hand-washing sink for diners inside the shop, described as next to the kitchen with a black basin and its own lighting.
- Sixteen posts say the portions are large: one says added pork came out 'like a mountain', another left a third of the pasta. One notes the pot looks small on the table but left them very full.
2 more
- Twenty-two posts describe a mix of solo bar seats and four-person tables. Three counted: about seven or eight bar seats, but two, three or four tables depending on the post. Some four-tops are screened off by walls or curtains.
- Six posts went with friends, five with a partner or spouse, one alone, and two drove. Many praise the bar seats for solo dining, but only one writer actually went alone.

Three posts say they drove, and all three found the mall car park easy. The free-parking terms are copied and differ: several say one hour per 10,000 won spent up to three hours, two say the first 60 minutes, one says the first 30. Two say to keep your receipt for the exit gate.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | 16 of 28 posts |
|---|---|
| Lift to the floor | 2 of 28 posts |
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 2 (of 28 posts read) |
Sixteen posts describe going down to the mall's first basement level; one took the escalator from the exit 9 and 10 side, another warns that B1 sits above the parking levels. Several note you can walk there indoors from the station.
No one wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller; 'wheelchair accessible' appears only in two copied listing blocks, which we do not count. Two posts mention an elevator: the shop is right beside one, and one diner rode the mall elevator up from the car park. This means no one reported it, not that there is no access.
Two posts say there is no toilet inside the shop and you use the mall's restrooms, which two describe as spacious and clean. Whether they are separated by gender appears only in a copied listing block, so we do not know.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post reports waiting. One says the room was filling up at the after-work hour and another found diners already there on a weekend afternoon, but nobody queued. Whether bookings are taken is unknown; one post only says to check with the shop.
- Twenty posts give opening hours, almost all copied from the listing: 11:00 to 21:00 every day, with a weekend break of 14:30 to 16:00 in eleven posts and 14:00 to 16:00 in one; eleven give last orders at 20:30. Only one mentions days off, saying the shop is open all year.
- Twenty posts call it good value, but promotions appear from September: soju at 1,000 won a bottle or 100 won a glass from 5 p.m., and 500 won ice cream. One post gives the regular soju price as 4,500 won a bottle and 700 won a glass, so the bill may change when the offers end. Three posts put a meal for two with toppings and drinks at around 30,000 won.
- Eleven posts list the same phone number, 0507-1406-1183, but none describes booking by phone.
- Five posts call the four-person seats 'rooms', while others describe the same seats as booths screened by a wall or curtain; we cannot tell whether there is a true private room.
- Heat is split: one post says the basic stew is mild enough for anyone, one found it fiery, and two did not settle. Several say you add heat yourself with the chili flakes at the table or a free sauce pot such as Cheongyang pepper or capsaicin.
- None of the 30 posts discloses sponsorship. Five end with the identical 19 hashtags in the same order, and six more add to that same set. Each describes a different meal, so we counted them all, but some may be commissioned.
