봉마루집 Bong (奉) means to serve with care and maru is the raised wooden floor where a Korean family gathers; the house says the name means looking after guests like family, and jip means house.

Bongmarujip is a braised pork-rib house at 103 Yanghwa-ro 6-gil in Mapo, between Hapjeong and Sangsu stations. You order one of four braises (aged kimchi, spicy, bean-sprout mountain, soy) by headcount at 15,000 to 16,000 won a portion (aged kimchi for two is 32,000 won); the pot arrives almost fully cooked and you finish it on the table burner with the bean sprouts from the side dishes. Spice runs from level 1 to 4, and at the end the pot goes back to the kitchen to become fried rice. We read 30 posts from 30 June to 25 October 2026; 26 describe an actual meal. Two were about other places and removed, two were introductions with no sign of a visit. Of the 26, four disclose sponsorship and seven say they paid their own way.

What sets it apart
- Instead of water you get roasted oriental raisin-tree tea. Fifteen of the 26 visit posts mention it; one describes a bottle printed with the tea's benefits, and another got ice added after saying they had just been running.
- Fourteen posts say the portions are large and none say small. Two separately used the phrase '2.5 portions' for an order of two. One office lunch couldn't fit in the closing fried rice after the sides.
- One post maps the levels: 1 is like tteokbokki, 2 like Shin Ramyun, 3 like cheongyang chili, 4 like Buldak noodles. Nine posts call it spicy. The same writer found level 2 not spicy at all and level 3 brought tears, so the jump between them is steep; another found even level 4 not that hot.

Getting inside
No post describes the floor from experience; '1st floor' appears only in the address, and nobody mentions stairs.
Nobody says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. That is a gap in what was written, not evidence either way.
Only one post mentions the toilet: you need a key and it is in the same building, which suggests it is outside the restaurant itself, but that isn't certain. Nobody says whether it is separated by sex.

What we do not know
- Waits vary. One post was second in line one evening but got in quickly; two walked straight in, around noon on a Saturday and after the lunch rush. One guessed Saturday-evening peaks may mean a wait. Two booked through Naver.
- Eight posts say it is easy by subway: three to four minutes' walk from Sangsu exit 1, seven to eight from Hapjeong exit 6, with Sangsu repeatedly called the closer. No one mentions a bus.
- Company: five posts went with friends, four with a partner, three with family. Groups of four and five appear; nobody went alone.
- Opening hours: all 22 visit posts that give them say 11:00 to midnight daily, 16 adding last orders at 23:00. Two say open every day of the year, one noting holiday closures should be checked. Most of this is copied information. The weekday lunch set runs 11:00 to 15:00 only.
- Prices held steady from 30 June to 14 October 2026: aged-kimchi ribs at 16,000 won a portion. Meal totals for two: 37,000 won (ribs and a rice ball), 42,000 won (plus steamed egg), 47,000 won (plus two bottles of soju and fried rice), and 36,000 won for the bean-sprout version.
