Noodle houseKorean

Yeongtong Baekhap Kalguksu Gangnam-jeom

영통백합칼국수 강남점 Yeongtong is a place name (a district of Suwon); baekhap is the hard clam and kalguksu is knife-cut noodle soup — the house boils big clams for broth, then finishes the pot with noodles.

Compiled from 24 blog posts read in fullSources →

A clam shabu-shabu and kalguksu house on the second floor of the Gangnam Anytower, a short walk down an alley from Gangnam Station exit 5. The core is a set (25,000 won per person; 17 posts ordered it): you pick out big hard clams from the broth first, cook wagyu and vegetables in it, then finish with noodles and a cube of maesaengi seaweed. Most tables add a half-and-half pancake (25,000), thin-sliced squid (25,000) or steamed cockles (22,000); a solo lunch is the clam-noodle set at 15,000 won. We read 24 posts, dated 10 Aug to 4 Oct 2026, all from people who went. But 23 of them fall in about a month from 1 September and repeat the same phrases, so much of this reads like commissioned promotion.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Twenty posts call it roomy. We did not count the oft-copied "seats up to 100", which is the shop's own line; the first-hand version is things like "tables far enough apart that we could talk without minding the next table". Ten posts mention the big windows, and three booked ahead to get a window seat.
  2. Four posts say you order from a tablet or kiosk at the table. Kimchi, sauces and extra broth come from a self-serve bar, and four posts say they went back for more. That the kimchi is made in-house is something posts repeat, not something they saw; one diner noticed it tasted different each time and stuck to one tub.
  3. Five posts found the portions generous — "three of us, but enough for four"; "one portion, and it didn't feel small at all". An August post asked whether noodles had to be ordered per head and was told no, so ordered one.
  4. Opinions split on salt: two posts found things salty (the octopus, and the cuttlefish stir-fry "could be a bit less salty"), three said not salty. Two posts said the stir-fry is hardly spicy — "even a primary-schooler could eat it".

  1. Fifteen posts put it about three minutes' walk from Gangnam Station exit 5. Most copy an info block saying the building offers no parking; three describe it first-hand — one parked on the street, one used the Hojeong Building lot (4,000 won an hour).

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

Fifteen posts put it about three minutes' walk from Gangnam Station exit 5. Most copy an info block saying the building offers no parking; three describe it first-hand — one parked on the street, one used the Hojeong Building lot (4,000 won an hour).

Getting inside

Second floor13 of 24 posts
Lift to the floor4 of 24 posts

It is on the second floor. Thirteen posts describe going up, four of them by lift ("take the elevator to the 2nd floor and it's right in front of you"); two mention stairs as the alternative.

No one says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. Four posts mention a lift; beyond that we don't know.

No post describes the toilets first-hand. "Separate men's and women's" appears only in two copied info blocks, which we don't rely on.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Twenty-three of the 24 posts appeared between 1 Sept and 4 Oct 2026 and share stock phrases, hashtags and near-identical orders. Two disclose sponsorship, two say they paid, and twenty say nothing — the uniform praise may reflect that.
  • No one reports queuing or gives a wait time. One post found free tables at weekday lunch; another said an earlier dinner was too crowded, so they came at lunch — and found that busy too.
  • Eighteen posts copy opening hours, mostly weekdays 11:30–02:00, weekends 11:30–23:00, break 15:00–17:00. One (27 Sept) says 11:30–23:00 only, one says 02:00 daily, and a single August post says closed Sundays. A 30 Sept post heard weekday hours were recently extended to 2 a.m., but the August post already shows 02:00, so we can't date any change.
  • Prices mostly agree, but extra noodles are 3,500 won in one post and 3,000 in another. The cuttlefish-pork stir-fry (39,000 won) arrived as a new dish in late September and is absent from a 27 Sept menu list.
  • Seven posts give the phone number as 0507-1354-0826; one gives 02-588-0824. Posts say bookings go through Naver or CatchTable, and three say they booked ahead.
