Ilpum Gangnam-jeom
일품 강남점 Ilpum means 'first-rate' or 'a superb dish'; this is the Gangnam branch of a kaisendon and sushi chain that bloggers also know from Magok, Yeouido and Gwanghwamun.

A kaisendon and sushi counter in basement unit 106 of the Seocho Town Trapalace building, near exit 6 of Gangnam Station. The kaisendon is 26,000 won, the premium version 37,000 won and the whole-eel unagidon 40,000 won, with chawanmushi, a small udon and mango panna cotta included. You order by QR code from your seat. We read 31 posts dated September 5 to October 24, 2026. Only four, from September 5 to October 19, are about this restaurant, and all four writers ate there. The rest are about other places and turned up only because the name, Ilpum, is also an everyday word for 'superb'.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Most seats are at a counter facing the kitchen; three posts said you can watch the fish being cut and the sushi being made from there. Three posts also mentioned tables. One said there are only three, for parties of three or more, and the group of five booked a week ahead on Naver.
- Two posts said the sashimi is cut thick and large, and one added that it was not chewy. One writer saw the comedian Lee Young-ja's autograph at the entrance.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

Three posts placed it on the building's basement restaurant floor. The writer who went alone advised using the building's shared restroom before going in, since there is none inside the restaurant.
No one said whether you reach the basement by lift or stairs, or whether there is a step at the door. That means we don't know, not that there is no access.
Only one post mentioned the restroom: it is the building's shared one outside the restaurant. We don't know if it is gender-separated or how far it is.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 5 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Only one post talked about waiting, and that was a party of five with a booking who did not wait. No one said whether there is a line at lunch without a reservation.
- One writer went alone, one with four colleagues and one with a partner. No one wrote about going with friends or children.
- Three posts gave the same opening hours: 11:00 to 21:30, break 15:00 to 17:30, last order 20:00, closed Sundays. All three copied them from the listing, and two wrote 'daily' while also noting the Sunday closure.
- Prices did not change across the four posts from September to October 2026; bowls and sets run from 26,000 to 40,000 won. Two posts called it good value and none disagreed. No one wrote down a total bill per person.
- Two posts copied the phone number 0507-1315-0444. Two writers booked through Naver, and one got a confirmation call after leaving their order in the booking note.
