Daseon Kalguksu Gyodae Jigyeongjeom

다선칼국수 교대직영점 Kalguksu is knife-cut wheat noodle soup and jigyeongjeom means a company-run branch; the posts give no meaning for Daseon, and the house bowl is sold as Cham-daseon kalguksu.

A kalguksu and boiled-pork house on two floors at Banpo-daero 26-gil 69 in Seocho, a short walk down an alley from exit 14 of Gyodae station. The clam noodle soup is 10,000 won and the noodle-and-pork set is 15,000 won; in the evening many diners order octopus dishes, pancakes, blanched seafood or a 69,000/73,000 won drinking set. Barley rice with radish salad arrives as soon as you sit down. We read 30 posts dated 22 May to 19 October 2026, all from people who ate there; 17 of them fall between 3 and 19 October and share the same stock phrases.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Eleven posts say they went back for more barley rice or side dishes, some for a second or third bowl. Five describe a self-serve bar for kimchi and radish; one post found no self-serve and says staff brought more on request.
  2. Eleven posts say the boiled pork had no gamey smell, and none say it did. The line about simmering it with medicinal herbs is copied from the shop's own description.
  3. Eight posts call something spicy, always the octopus noodle soup or the stir-fried octopus; one compares the stir-fry to Shin Ramyun, and a heat-shy writer found the noodle soup quite hot. The plain kalguksu is mostly described as clear and mild.
  4. Eleven posts say the portions are big: two people shared a single bowl of noodles and found it enough, one says the soju set is a lot for two, and two posts say leftovers were packed up for them.
3 more
  1. Seven posts say you order from a tablet at the table or a kiosk.
  2. Nine posts say it is an easy walk from Gyodae station, two to five minutes from exit 14.
  3. Where posts say who they went with: friends in five, a spouse or partner in four, family with children in three. Both posts with children say their kid was given barley rice with seaweed flakes and sesame oil instead of chili paste.

Parking

11 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park11 of 30 posts

Eleven posts say there are spaces right in front of the shop and two are vaguer about it. Of the four that count spaces, three say four cars and one says three. Six posts paste a listing that says no parking; we treat that as the shop's registered data, not something anyone saw, and one writer notes the listing says no parking but there were a few spaces out front.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Nine posts say it is an easy walk from Gyodae station, two to five minutes from exit 14.

Getting inside

Second floor14 of 30 posts
In a basementyes 0 · no 3 (of 30 posts read)

Fourteen posts describe the second floor from being there. One says it is roomier with full-height windows, and two mention outdoor seating opened up there. Three posts say they sat on the ground floor; none mention a basement. One weekday visit at about 5 p.m. found the upstairs not yet open.

We don't know whether there is a step at the entrance, whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in, or whether the second floor has only stairs. None of the 30 posts mention it, which is not the same as saying there is no access.

We don't know where the toilets are or on which floor. Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in listings pasted into three posts; one writer simply says the restroom was pleasant.

No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Only two posts talk about waiting: one walked straight in around 7 p.m. on a weekday, another only just avoided a queue around 6:30 p.m. on a Sunday. Several say it was busy, but nobody recorded how long they waited.
  • Opening hours changed. Posts up to 15 August 2026 give 11:00–23:30 on weekdays and 11:00–22:00 at weekends; from September they give 11:00–23:00 on weekdays (last order 22:30) and 11:30–22:00 on Saturday and Sunday (last order 21:30), though four later posts just say 11:00–23:00 every day. Most of this is copied from the listing; one post saw a no-break-time sign at the door. No post mentions a closing day.
  • Prices changed between September and October 2026: September posts list a 250 g boiled pork platter at 20,000 won and the octopus noodles at 15,000 won a head; October posts list 280 g at 28,000 won, 380 g at 38,000 won and the noodles at 16,000 won a head. Even within October, the octopus stir-fry appears at 32,000 or 34,000 won and the mixed pancakes at 26,000 or 27,000 won. A meal starts at 10,000 won for a bowl of noodles; one couple paid 69,000 won for a stew, pork, extra noodles and a beer. Five posts call it good value and none call it expensive.
  • Reservations, booking the whole second floor for 25 or more, and free corkage appear only in copied listings; no one says they actually booked. The phone number given in more than fifteen posts is 0507-1430-5623.
  • One post discloses sponsorship, one says the writer paid, and the other 28 say nothing. The 17 posts clustered in October repeat the same lines about a 25-year tradition, solo diners welcome and a TV appearance, and look commissioned; we still counted them as visits because each records what was ordered, what it cost and where they sat.
