Cafe

I got everything

카페 아이갓에브리씽 Kape Aigatebeurissing The name is plain English, 'I got everything'; one writer read it as the feeling of having it all while looking out over Gyeongbokgung with good company.

Compiled from 25 blog posts read in fullSources →

A cafe on the third floor of the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History, across from Gwanghwamun Square. You order at a kiosk inside and most people carry their drinks out to a terrace facing Gyeongbokgung and Bugaksan. Americano is 3,000 won, scones and cookies 4,500 won. Several posts copy the signage saying the baristas are people with developmental or severe disabilities. We read 30 posts from 12 June to 6 October 2026: three covered only the museum and were set aside, one was an introduction without a visit, and we count from the 26 that visited.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. People come for the terrace: nineteen posts sat on it or describe it. Seats are hard to get — one writer arrived at the 10 a.m. opening on a Saturday and found the lounge-style seats gone at once and the front row full by 10:30; another stood for a long while at the weekend before sharing a table with a stranger; another grabbed a table only when a group left. Two posts say people without seats sit on the stairs to the left of the cafe.
  2. Eighteen posts call it cheap, usually by contrast with nearby view cafes where an americano starts at 5,000 won. One writer placed it between Starbucks and Mega Coffee. Several note that the museum and its rooftop garden are free too.
  3. Eleven posts ordered at the indoor kiosk; your receipt number is called out and you pick up at the counter. Two writers regretted there is only one kiosk. One notes that terrace seating counts as eat-in, so you should not order takeaway.
  4. Four posts note a 90-minute seating limit (one saw it posted by the kiosk), and three of them also mention one item per person. One adds that disposable cups are not used indoors and takeaway cups are not allowed into the galleries.

  1. Four posts say the indoor room is small — about ten two-person tables, with four-seat tables treated as group seating. Yet several found free seats indoors, and one writer described indoor seating as quite plentiful.

Posts saying you can park1 of 25 posts

Parking is unclear. The one writer who drove parked in the museum lot on a weekday around 3 p.m. and found it large, though she heard it often fills later. Other posts say no parking, limited parking, or use the public lot nearby — mostly copied notices that we do not count.

Visitors all went up to the third floor, though three posts call it the second-floor cafe; the other posts and the museum's floor guide point to the third.

There are two ways up: five posts took the museum lift from the ground floor to the third, others climbed the outdoor staircase on the left of the building straight to the cafe. A writer with a pushchair recommends the indoor lift if you have children.

One family went up with a pushchair by lift; no one wrote whether there is a step at the door. The 'wheelchair accessible entrance' line appears only in copied amenity lists, which we do not count.

No visitor wrote whether the toilet is inside the cafe. One said the museum toilets are large and clean with baby and accessible facilities; another had to ask staff where the toilet was. 'Inside, separate by gender' appears only in copied lists.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Toilet inside · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 26 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Only one post experienced slow drinks. Two more mention a sign asking for patience, but that is the shop's notice and we do not count it.
  • The 250–278 m from Gwanghwamun Station exit 2 is mostly copied; one writer recommends public transport because the road is congested.
  • No post describes queuing to get in; the waiting is for a terrace seat. That is not proof there is never a line, only that no one wrote of one.
  • Five posts went with family and two alone; only one went with a friend.
  • Fifteen posts give the same hours, daily 10:00–18:00 with last orders at 17:00 (three of them copied blocks). The museum stays open until 21:00 on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but the cafe still stops taking orders at 5 p.m. One unvisited introduction claims it closes Thursdays and Fridays; that contradicts everyone else and we ignore it. Two posts say it closed on Chuseok day.
  • Prices held steady from June to October 2026. Only the latte differs: five posts say 3,500 won, one says 4,000. One post says cards go through the kiosk and cash is paid at the counter.
  • Two posts give the phone number 02-732-4336. No one wrote whether reservations are taken.
