Seogang Palgyeong Yuldo

서강8경 율도 Seogang Palgyeong means the Eight Views of Seogang, the name of the building; Yuldo (栗島, 'chestnut island') is the old hanja name of Bamseom, the Han River islet its windows look out on.

A Japanese restaurant on the 6th floor of the Seogang Palgyeong building at 128 Tojeong-ro, Mapo, looking over the Han River toward Bamseom and Yeouido. Dinner is sashimi courses (the VIP platter course at 120,000 won a head, the chef's VVIP at 150,000), lunch is sashimi sets from 37,000 won, eaten mostly in private rooms. We read 18 posts from March 2025 to October 2026; 5 record a visit, between September 2025 and February 2026. Seven posts about other businesses in the same building — the 8th-floor French restaurant Seogang Palgyeong, the 9th-floor lounge, a 5th-floor café — were set aside, and six list or introduce the place without a visit. All five visits were occasions: birthdays, a year-end gathering, a family dinner.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. You eat almost entirely in private rooms: four of the visits were in one. One post says every seat is a room, another says everything is rooms except the sushi counter. A post that asked about fireworks-night booking was told rooms need six or more; smaller parties go in the hall.
  2. Parking is by valet; both posts that used it paid 3,000 won.
  3. Two posts say the courses are large: one ate the VIP course until bursting, the other says staff kept checking how full they were and packed the leftovers to take home.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 4 (of 5 posts read)
Lift to the floor4 of 5 posts

The floor is clear: four visit posts went up to the 6th floor; none mention a basement.

You take a lift to the 6th floor; four posts mention it, one noting that the doors open straight into the restaurant, and two that the river is visible from the lift on the way up.

We don't know about the entrance step or wheelchair and stroller access. The lift opens straight into the restaurant, but no one wrote about steps or wheelchairs — that means unrecorded, not absent.

No one described the toilets — inside the restaurant or not, separate or shared — so we don't know.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 11 posts we gathered, 6 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Opinions on price split two to one: two posts call it expensive, one thinks the 120,000-won course is a bargain given the view. A meal runs 37,000 won at lunch and 120,000–150,000 won for a dinner course, with VAT added on top according to two posts.
  • Several businesses in the building share the name: Seogang Palgyeong on the 8th floor is a French restaurant, the 9th is a lounge, the 5th the café TYPE; Yuldo is the 6th. Two posts tagged Yuldo but described the French dinner, and we set them aside.
  • All five visit posts give the same opening hours — 10:00–22:00 with a 15:00–17:00 break, closed Sundays — but every one is a copied info block. No post gives a last-order time.
  • Two phone numbers appear: three posts give 0507-1492-0103, one gives 02-334-0070. One visit post booked the largest room in advance.
  • Only one post describes walking from the station: about 500 m from exit 3 of Sangsu Station, uphill. No one wrote about coming by bus.
  • No post mentions waiting. All five were booked occasions, so we don't know what a walk-in would face.
  • Only one post says clearly who came along (a family dinner for a mother's birthday), so we can't say what kind of party is typical.
