A shabu-shabu buffet on the 16th floor of Hongmun-gwan, the building beside Hongik University's main gate. Each person picks a shabu set with 100 g of meat, which comes with a salad bar of vegetables, sushi, pizza, fried food, beef tartare and desserts, plus noodles and porridge to finish. What sets it apart
- The windows are the draw. Seventeen visit posts wrote about the view through the floor-to-ceiling glass, and several timed their arrival around 5:30–6 p.m. to eat through the sunset. One noted the blinds stay down while the sun is strong and staff raise them one by one as it sets. Some booked ahead specifically for a window table.
- Twelve posts mention group rooms at the back — one counts three rooms of about 14 seats each, another lists rooms for 12 and 25. Six posts went as a family, including one for a father-in-law's birthday with children.
- Six posts say there's a 90-minute limit when people are waiting. Waits vary: two posts waited (five minutes; a long line during the year-end season), three walked straight in (Saturday at 6:30 p.m., a weekday after 7 p.m.). Six mention seating for those waiting.

You need the right elevator. Sixteen posts rode up, and several warn that the elevators just inside Hongmun-gwan's entrance don't reach the 16th floor — go further in, past the Hangaram stationery store, to cars 1–3. One writer admits riding the wrong one first.
We don't know about wheelchair or stroller access or steps at the entrance. Many posts say the elevator goes straight to the 16th floor, but none mention thresholds or wheelchairs — that means nobody wrote about it, not that access is lacking.
Only two posts describe the toilets: one says they're outside the restaurant, shared on the floor; the other says they're by the entrance and separated by gender. Other mentions of separate toilets are copied from the Naver listing, so we didn't count them.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 30 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Prices have gone up. Posts from July–November 2025 give the beef set as 24,800 / 27,000 / 28,800 won (weekday lunch / weekday dinner / weekend); posts from April 2026 give 27,000 / 28,000 / 29,800. Extra beef went from 5,000 to 6,000 won per 100 g. One post called about 30,000 a head expensive; two called it reasonable.
- Opening hours changed. 2025 posts give 11:30–21:30 with a weekday break 15:30–17:30; most 2026 posts give 11:30–21:10, weekday break 15:10–17:30, last orders 14:00 and 20:00, with no break on weekends. Three 2026 posts still repeat the old hours, and nearly all are copied from the Naver listing. Three posts say it closes the day before and the day of Seollal and Chuseok.
- Posts disagree on whether meat is unlimited. Two say it is, but several others say each set includes 100 g and extra meat is ordered and paid for separately, which matches the menu prices.
- Several posts from September–October 2026 share an identical hashtag line, suggesting a campaign; only one of them discloses sponsorship. A July 2025 post is also tagged as sponsored and a September 2025 post says it received complimentary service. Four posts say they paid their own way.
- No post describes actually walking from the subway. 'About 500 m from Hongik University Station exit 9' appears in many posts but is copied from the listing. One writer took a taxi.
- Five posts say reservations are possible, though a January 2025 post was told same-day bookings aren't taken. Many posts give the phone number as 02-336-5352.
