Beargels Hongdae-Sangsu is a bagel-and-sandwich shop that doubles as a café, on the ground floor of 65-1 Dongmak-ro near Exit 1 of Sangsu Station. You order at a kiosk; bagels come halved and toasted. The October 2025 menu copied into one post lists a plain bagel at 3,300 won, bagel sandwiches at 7,200–8,900 won, a sandwich-and-drink set at 10,900 won and an Americano at 3,800 won; prices in July 2026 (blueberry bagel 4,200, jambon-beurre ciabatta 9,800) were unchanged. Drinks come in a reusable cup you can keep for 1,000 won. We read 30 posts from December 2024 to October 2026; 16 describe an actual visit. What sets it apart
- It is close to the subway. Four posts walked from Sangsu Station Exit 1, calling it about a three-to-four-minute walk and "very close"; one added that it sits right on the main road, so it is easy to find.
- Four posts said the room is spacious. Two said there were plenty of seats, one noting many tables for two to four. Early-morning visitors found it nearly empty — one was the only customer, another called a Monday at 8 a.m. relaxed and quiet.
- Yellow tables and chairs sit out front; three posts mentioned seeing that outdoor seating.
- Three posts said you order at a kiosk. A December 2024 post said sandwiches were made on the spot once you picked the bread and filling, and several posts described a constant stream of delivery riders and takeaway customers.

No visitor described the floor from experience. The address says ground floor and posts mention tables out front, but nobody wrote about stairs. The basement (B1) of the same building is a different business, a graffiti studio.
Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller; one post only captioned photos of a front and a back entrance. That means we don't know, not that access is poor.
Two posts said the restroom is inside the building, one calling it very clean. Nobody said whether it is separated by gender.

What we do not know
- No post mentioned queuing. One Monday 8 a.m. visitor found it quiet and waited about ten minutes for food. We don't know whether lines form at lunchtime.
- Opening hours have changed, and the current schedule needs checking. Posts from December 2024 and February 2025 copied Mon–Sat 8:00–22:00; two posts from October and December 2025 both gave Mon–Sat 7:00–21:00, Sunday 8:00–21:00. A July 2026 post listed Saturday 8:00–21:00 and Sunday 8:00–20:00, last order 20:30. An October 2026 delivery review copied weekday hours of 7:00–15:00 with Wednesdays off, but no visitor has confirmed this.
- No post reported a price change. A sandwich plus a drink comes to about 10,000 won. One discrepancy: a July 2026 post listed an iced Americano with reusable cup at 3,500 won, below the 3,800 won on the menu.
- Six posts gave the phone number 02-2061-7875; one gave 0507-1367-7125. Whether they take reservations rests only on one copied info block. One post said a sign asks that large orders be placed by phone.
- We left out eight posts from June to October 2025: they list the reusable cup, the teddy bear, the yellow tables and the kiosk in the same order without saying what was ordered, and one gives a wrong street address while another says the shop opens at 10 a.m. We also counted only once a July 2026 visit that the same writer reposted in October.
