A rice-and-drinks pub up a flight of stairs in a house-like building right outside Exit 1 of Sangsu Station, at 81 Dongmak-ro. Most posts describe groups sharing kimchi stew (9,500 won for the single portion with rice, 21,000 won for the medium bar pot), oversized stuffed egg rolls (14,900–17,000 won) and karaage (14,900 won). One diner ate just the stew and rice with no alcohol. Posts from July 2026 on give the hours as 17:00–03:00 Tuesday to Sunday, closed Mondays. We read 30 posts from 22 October 2025 to 3 October 2026; 27 describe actual visits and 3 are copied listings.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Portion size is the most repeated point: 12 visit posts say the servings are large. Six people shared one 'single' kimchi stew and still had some left, so one post calls it a four-person stew; another says the pork egg roll was thicker than their forearm. Only one post disagrees, saying the bar-size pot looks like it serves three or four but holds about two servings.
  2. Ten posts call it good value and none call it expensive. One diner wondered whether 7,900 won for ice cream was steep, then changed their mind when it arrived. Another table of three spent 120,000 won on two dishes and several rounds of highballs.
  3. Many posts come from regulars: 6 say they have been back. One counted 19 check-ins and another more than eight visits, and both list what they ordered each time. A third got free ice cream because their friend was a regular.
  4. Evenings can mean a wait. Two posts mention queuing; one says there was almost always a line after 6 p.m. and that it is a walk-up list, not an app reservation. One post walked straight in at about 7:34 p.m. on a weekday and saw every seat fill within 30 minutes. Two posts arrived right at opening.
3 more
  1. When it is full you may be asked to leave: two posts say so. One notes a two-hour limit when every seat is taken; another was asked to wrap up as soon as a queue formed, without warning.
  2. There is outdoor seating: four posts mention a terrace or street-side tables. The December 2025 and February 2026 posts found it empty because of the cold; posts from April and July 2026 drank outside.
  3. Alcohol is not required: one post had just kimchi stew and rice for dinner, noting that unlike some pubs it sells food on its own.

Getting inside

Toilet inside2 of 26 posts

You don't walk straight in from the street. Three posts say you climb stairs to reach the entrance, and one describes the room as being on the second floor. No post puts it below ground.

No post mentions getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. Three say there are stairs to the entrance, and none mention a lift or ramp. That means no one wrote about it, not that there isn't one.

Two posts say the restroom is inside the premises, one calling it clean. Separate men's and women's restrooms appear only in one copied listing; no one confirmed it firsthand.

No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Noise splits opinion: three posts found it loud, one says you can talk comfortably, and two land in between. Some also mention tables packed closely together.
  • Opinions differ on the heat: one post calls the pork egg roll spicy, another says it is not spicy at all, and a third wished the kimchi stew had more kick.
  • The hours appear to have changed. Six posts from December 2025 to April 2026 give 17:00–03:40 daily, last order 03:00, and one lists 17:00–03:00. Three posts from July and August 2026 give 17:00–03:00 Tuesday to Sunday, last order 02:00, closed Mondays. Most of these are copied from the listing, so we don't know the exact date of the change. The 17:00–05:00 hours in the listing posts date from 2023, and we ignored them.
  • Prices have gone up at some point. An April 2026 post says they are a little higher than before. The single kimchi stew with rice is 8,900 won in one post but 9,500 won in February and April 2026; the cheese cutlet (15,000 vs 19,000) and yukhoe mulhoe (18,000 vs 23,000) differ the same way. The lower figures come from a map-listing menu photo of unknown date, so check current prices.
  • Seven posts list 0507-1311-3281, all copied from the listing. Only one post (a birthday group) says they booked ahead, so we don't know whether phone reservations are taken.
  • Three posts are 'budget pubs in Seoul' roundups that copied information without visiting; two come from the same blog using the same template. We didn't count them.
