An aged-pork-and-beef grill on the back side of Sangil Elementary School in Sangil-dong, Gangdong-gu — the Sangil branch of the Dongsin Sanghoe chain. The grills burn dried corn kernels instead of charcoal, and staff cook the meat at your table. The most-ordered dish is the 'pork plate', 600 g of neck and belly for 51,000 won; the mixed beef-and-pork 'Dongsin plate' is 900 g for 89,000 won. What sets it apart
- Staff do the grilling: 20 of the 21 visit posts say a staff member cooked the meat from start to finish. Several describe the neck being grilled first and finished pieces moved to the steel rim so they don't overcook, and many say staff explained which sauce to try with each cut. One March 2026 post says they were told to grill the last of the belly themselves.
- There is a self-serve bar: 14 posts mention topping up banchan, sauces, garlic or chili there. Each table starts with three tubs (pink salt, a shrimp-paste dip, a scallion dip), white kimchi, scallion kimchi and fresh kimchi, plus a hangover-remedy stick per person; several note a drawer under the table holding cutlery, glasses and wet wipes.
- The pork neck is cut thick: 10 posts say so and 9 mention how juicy it was. Even one writer who said she dislikes thick cuts wrote that this was meat that needs to be thick.

Getting inside
No post describes the floor from experience; the '1st floor' in the address is just the registered address. That means nobody wrote about it, not that it is otherwise.
Nobody wrote whether the entrance has a step or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in; four posts came with children, but none mention a stroller.
We don't know whether the toilet is inside. 'Separate men's and women's toilets' appears only in one post's copied info block, and the 'toilet is inside' remark comes from a post about the Myeongil branch, so neither is counted.

Of the 24 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- It is far from the subway: one post says Sangil-dong station is too far to walk and a car works better; another says the subway is awkward and the Sangil Elementary bus stop is the way to go. A '20 minutes on foot from Sangil-dong station exit 3' line appears only in a copied info block.
- Only two posts talk about waiting: a September 2026 post waited briefly because of a crowd of office groups, and a post from a Saturday at 5pm in May 2026 found plenty of free tables. Seven posts booked ahead, and one relays a friend's advice that weeknights are busy enough to need a reservation.
- Two posts copied the same August 2026 menu (steak neck and thick belly 17,000 won per 180 g, sides 8,000 won). The pork plate is 51,000 won in most posts and 51,800 in one. A single May 2026 post gives its weight as 500 g instead of 600 g; we can't tell whether it changed or was misreported. One post gives a full bill: 62,000 won for the pork plate, a stew, rice and a soft drink.
- Sixteen posts give the same hours — 16:00-22:00, last order 21:00, closed Sundays — though mostly from copied info blocks. One post's '11:00-21:20' is a garbled block and was left out.
- The posts follow a common template: the shop's blurb about burning corn 'instead of charcoal' so the meat smells less appears almost verbatim in four posts, and the hangover stick, tonkatsu-sauce-and-breadcrumbs trick and self-serve bar recur in the same order in nearly all of them. Only one post discloses sponsorship and one hints at a reviewer program. Claims like 'grade-1 Korean sow pork' and '10-day aging' are the shop's own words and we don't rely on them.
