A Korean restaurant inside the visitor-centre building of Sulahyu, the forest recreation lodge at Dongmakgol on Suraksan in Nowon. The core is the wrap set meal — beef short rib 22,000 won, spicy pork or grilled mackerel 19,000 won — with a 100,000-won-per-person tasting course at dinner. Rice, soup, greens and pastes are refilled from a self-serve bar, and the room runs straight into the visitor-centre café. You don't need to be staying at the lodge. We read 30 posts dated 14 September to 14 October 2026; 14 of them actually ate here, and most of the rest are lodge booking guides that mention the restaurant in passing. Breakfast changed in mid-September 2026 to two brunch sets, a sandwich and a waffle.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Rice, soup, greens and the pastes are all refilled from a self-serve bar — 9 of the 14 posts that ate here said so. One diner who first thought the sets a bit pricey went back for another bowl of rice with the mackerel. Every set comes with three house pastes (brown-rice doenjang, tofu gochujang, nut-and-chive), which several posts say are sold by the jar.
- Five posts brought children — a 30-month-old, a 3- and 6-year-old, a 7-year-old niece — all on family outings, plus one group of five. Children were given the 10,000-won kids' cutlet or the mackerel set. One post saw a high chair; another mentions children's tableware.
- The dining room shares the visitor centre with the check-in desk and café, separated by a partition; 7 posts mention the attached café. That makes it noisy at peak times: a Sunday-lunch diner said it felt like a food court as check-in time approached, and another compared it to a staff canteen.
- Four posts said the seasoning was gentle and none called it salty — the pastes were 'not salty at all', the hot pot 'on the bland side'.

Parking
1 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Only one post covered parking first-hand: diners use the P2 public lot at the lodge entrance (four hours free once a day, then 150 won per 5 minutes); P1 is for lodge guests. Three other posts copied the same line from an info block, so we don't count them.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 13 posts read) |
|---|
Nobody described a step at the restaurant door or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller; one post notes it is on the ground floor of the main building. The lodge's barrier-free trail and accessible room come up often, but not the restaurant itself — we don't know.
No diner described the toilets; 'separate men's and women's toilets' appears only in one copied info block, which we don't count. We don't know.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 16 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
| 2026-09-16 | 2 posts in one day |

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posts disagree on space: one found the tables well spaced, one said the room is small enough that you may wait. Heat is split too — two found the pork spicy, one said it wasn't very hot.
- Breakfast has changed. One post says the Korean or Western breakfast choice became brunch from 17 September 2026; a returning guest found the French-toast set gone. By October there were only two sets, ham-and-cheese sandwich and seasonal-fruit waffle at 15,000 won each, and one guest arriving around 9 a.m. got nearly the last sandwich.
- Four posts touch on booking: one phoned ahead, one saw a CatchTable kiosk at the door, and two had to fix their course time at check-in. Another walked in without a booking early in the evening.
- No post actually queued. Some warn that you may have to wait, but nobody who ate here recorded a wait — that's an absence of reports, not proof there's no line.
- None of the diners described arriving by subway or bus. Guide posts repeat that it is about a 25-minute (1.6 km) walk from Buramsan Station on Line 4, but no diner reported making that trip.
- No post went alone or on a date; the companions recorded are family (five posts) and one group of five.
- Opening hours agree across the four posts that list them: 11:00–21:30, closed Tuesdays (when the lodge closes), with a 16:00–17:00 break in three and last order at 21:00 in two — though three of the four copied these from an info block. Two guide posts say it closes from Tuesday evening to Wednesday lunch, so check Wednesday lunchtime and holiday weeks.
- All prices are from September–October 2026. One diner thought 19,000–22,000 won a bit steep per person until seeing the refill bar; another called the 100,000-won course expensive. The 10% Nowon-resident discount reportedly applies only to café drinks. Only one post showed a receipt.
- Two posts give the phone number as 0507-1358-3953 and one as 02-931-3953. One diner booked by phone but didn't say which number.
- Of the 14 dining posts, two are the same blogger writing up the same course dinner twice, and two read like generic promotional copy with no location or prices, so we give them less weight.
