Sogongju is a Chinese-based fusion drinking spot. Until 24 April 2026 it sat in an alley off Sangbong Station exit 3 at Myeonmok-ro 88-gil 5; it then moved to Gunja-ro 17-gil 36 in Gwangjin-gu and reopened as an 'Asian bistro' — the address on this page is the old one. We read 30 posts from January 2025 to September 2026; 21 are visits to this restaurant, two of them at the new Gunja site. The other nine were about the Sogongju Noodle branch, neighbouring bars, or a friend's nickname, and we set them aside. In the Sangbong years one owner cooked and served alone, and guests fetched their own drinks, glasses and water; there was no everyday soju, only Hallasan, baijiu and wine. Dishes ran 20,000–35,000 won (xiangla fried chicken and garlic shrimp at 20,000, dongpo pork at 35,000), and from October 2025 into early 2026 there was also a seven-course set at 28,000 won a head.

What sets it apart

The Sangbong shop had a resident Shiba Inu named Soba; 13 posts mention seeing her — she barks only when the door opens and is gentle up close, and one writer said she didn't get up from opening to close. Neither post about the new Gunja site mentions the dog. One writer suggests asking ahead if you're allergic.
When one owner did all the cooking in Sangbong, three posts found the food slow and one found it quick. One writer waited about 35 minutes for the dongpo pork with no snacks on the table; another said dishes came fast even at a busy hour.

No post describes which floor the shop is on from experience; the old address just says '1st floor', and the new site is only described as a converted house.

Nobody mentions a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller — that means unknown, not absent. One post notes floor seating at the new site.

Four posts say the Sangbong toilets were separate for men and women and clean. Where they were is disputed: two posts put them inside the shop, one says they're just outside the door, and one only says 'through that door'. Nobody has described the toilets at the new Gunja site.

What we do not know

The address on this page (Myeonmok-ro 88-gil 5) is the old one. An April 2026 post says the Sangbong shop ran only until 24 April; two September posts ate at the new site on Gunja-ro 17-gil 36. Before that, Sangbong had closed for a while in autumn 2025 while the Gunja branch opened, reopening in October with one owner and a set course. Almost everything here about toilets, seating, the dog and waiting comes from Sangbong; the new site has only two posts so far.
Writers split on price: two found it expensive, three did not, and one felt portions were small for the money without concluding. Nobody gave a full per-person bill, and nobody has recorded prices at the new Gunja site.
Only one post gives hours for the new site: Monday–Thursday 17:30–24:00 (last order 23:00), Friday–Saturday 17:30–02:00 (last order 01:00), closed Sunday. For Sangbong, a January 2025 post gave 18:00–02:00 and later posts 17:00–24:00, mostly copied from listings; one writer arrived before five, found it shut, and got in at 5:50.
Waiting is mixed even for Sangbong: two posts walked straight in (a Friday evening, a Saturday at 8pm), and one saw walk-ins waiting. Nobody has said whether there's a wait at the new Gunja site.
Only one post describes the walk: 40 m straight from Sangbong Station exit 3, then left into the alley. Nobody has described getting to the new Gunja site.
Six posts list the phone number 010-3923-5548 and one copied 0507-1335-5192, all from the Sangbong days. Nobody has given a phone number or booking method for the new site.
