The Sangbong branch of the 100-year Seolleongtang chain, in the Sangbong food alley a short walk from Exit 3 of Sangbong Station. Most posts say it runs around the clock except Sunday, when it closes at 9 p.m. The ox-bone soup comes with somen and thin-sliced beef, plus kkakdugi, cabbage kimchi and seasoned chives. Seolleongtang was 10,000 won in posts from March–April 2025 and 11,000 won from August 2025. We read 14 posts dated 29 January 2025 to 14 October 2026; one was a list of old Seoul restaurants that never mentions this place, and the other 13 describe actually eating here.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Nine posts say the room is large. One found it much bigger than it looks from outside and says the tables are mostly four-tops; another sat on a comfortable sofa bench at the back. Several posts mention groups and solo diners eating side by side.
- Nine posts call the portions generous and one disagrees. One diner says even the regular seolleongtang was a lot; the galbitang eater left rice behind. The exception was the 40,000-won boiled-beef hot pot, which one group of four found a little small.
- The broth arrives lightly seasoned: four posts say it is barely salted and you adjust it with the salt and pepper on the table. Five posts say the meat has no off smell.
- The kimchi gets a lot of attention. Two posts got refills, one noting there is no self-serve station and you ask the staff. Another read the origin sign: domestic kimchi and domestic chili powder.

No post says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in — that means unknown, not absent. Note also that the toilets are outside the restaurant.
The toilets are outside the restaurant, per two posts: one says out the door and to the right on the ground floor of the main building, the other that you take a key, the toilets are separate for men and women, and fairly roomy. Two posts note the restaurant itself is at street level.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Prices have gone up. March–April 2025 posts give seolleongtang at 10,000 won, the large version at 13,000 and dumplings at 6,000; by August 2025 it was 11,000 and 14,000, and an October 2026 post lists dumplings at 7,000. We only know the rise happened between April and August 2025. Two posts give a bill for two soups: 29,000 and 30,000 won.
- No post mentions waiting. The only one that touches on it found the place relaxed at 7 p.m. on a weekday; we don't know about weekend nights or lunch.
- Only one post describes actually walking from Exit 3 of Sangbong Station; the other posts' one-, two- and five-minute figures are copied info and don't agree.
- Many posts carry a 'solo dining' hashtag, yet none of the writers actually ate alone; several simply saw solo diners. Companions recorded: family in three posts, and friends, a partner and a group of four in one each.
- Opening hours: eight 2025 posts agree on 24 hours a day, with Sunday closing at 9 p.m. An April 2026 post adds a 9 a.m. opening on Monday, and an October 2026 post lists Sunday as 24 hours too. All of these are copied figures.
- Two phone numbers appear: 0507-1426-6797 in five posts and 02-493-6797 in three. Bookings and group seating appear only in copied info; no post describes making a reservation.
- Five posts cluster in a single week, 13–20 March 2025, and together with the April and August posts eight share the same hashtags and info block. None discloses sponsorship, so we counted them all, but they look like they came from the same template.
