Yangsabu Yangkkochi Samseong
양사부양꼬치 삼성점 Sabu means a master (as in a master cook) and yang is lamb; yangkkochi means lamb skewers.

Yangsabu Yangkkochi's Samseong branch is a lamb-skewer house in the restaurant alley behind COEX on Samseong-ro 100-gil. Big chunks of unfrozen chilled lamb go onto skewers that you grill over charcoal at the table and wrap in Chinese pancakes, with dishes like glutinous-rice sweet-and-sour pork and spicy corn noodles on the side. Posts list the salt-grilled skewers at 19,000 won a portion, the marinated aged skewers (250 g) at 18,000, the sweet-and-sour pork at 19,000, corn noodle soup at 7,000 and Tsingtao on draft at 8,000. The phone number is 0507-1388-7772, and bookings go through Naver. We read 30 posts dated May 29 to October 12, 2026: 28 are visits and 2 come from the shop's own brand blog. The May post calls the place newly opened; the other 29 are from September and October.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Skewers go onto a charcoal rotisserie at the table and turn by themselves; 12 posts say so. Because the meat is so large, some posts say they had to leave every other slot empty, or that skewers sometimes stall. The butter toast has to be turned by hand, and three posts admit to burning it.
- Eighteen posts say the lamb had no gamey smell, and none says it did; 19 call it juicy. The advice to cook it only '80 percent' is the shop's own instruction, shown on the tablet and on signs, so we don't treat it as evidence. One post put an undercooked skewer back on the grill after it ran red.
- Twenty-five posts ate the corn noodle soup. Fifteen call something spicy, mostly the noodles. Six compare the heat to Shin Ramyun, and they split between hotter and a bit milder. One post found the bowl heavy on noodles and light on broth.
- Ten posts say the portions are big. The aged skewers come at 250 g a portion, and posts count six or seven salt-grilled skewers per portion. One couple found the food too much for two, and another post warns that the noodles alone are a lot for a pair. Two posts say the prices are fair for the weight; none calls the place expensive.
3 more
- Eleven posts booked ahead, mostly through Naver, and were seated straight away. Five say you order on a tablet or kiosk at the table. The May 2026 post got a free cucumber dish for booking; the September and October posts mention a free corn sausage for receipt reviews, or Naver coupons, instead.
- Company is evenly split: 5 posts came as work or group dinners, 5 with family (4 of them with children), 4 with friends and 1 as a couple. One post estimated that over half the room that night were office groups. A September team dinner, booked in advance, found most of the menu sold out.
- Several posts put it a five-to-ten-minute walk from exit 5 of Samseong or Samseong Jungang station, and 4 say from their own visit that it was easy to reach by subway.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 19 of 28 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 6 (of 28 posts read) |
| Toilet inside | 2 of 28 posts |
| Separate restrooms | 2 of 28 posts |
The restaurant fills a whole two-storey building and has a terrace outside. Nineteen posts describe the upper floor from their own visit and 14 mention the terrace, though only 2 actually sat out there. Three say the upper floor has group tables and a separate room-like area, and one says that room seats up to 12. There is no basement; six posts describe the ground-floor hall or open kitchen first-hand.
Nobody says whether there is a step at the door, whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in, or whether there is a lift. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is none. The only access detail is that the upper floor is up a flight of stairs.
Two posts say from their own visit that the toilets are inside and separated by gender; one specifies women's on the ground floor and men's upstairs. Nobody mentions an accessible toilet.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 30 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Many posts follow one template. Eighteen posts from September 22 to October 9, 2026 list the same order (two portions of salt-grilled skewers, one of aged skewers, butter toast, sweet-and-sour pork, corn noodles, Tsingtao) and repeat the same lines about 'not square frozen skewers' and 'COEX team dinners'. None says it was sponsored, but please read the counts below with that in mind.
- No post describes queuing. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is never a wait. One post arrived at 5 p.m. on a weekday and saw it full by about 6; another found no empty tables on a Friday evening.
- Twenty posts give opening hours, all copied from the shop's listing: 19 say 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., with a 3–5 p.m. break on weekdays and none at weekends, and one post alone says it opens at 11:00. No post gives a closing day. The shop announced a 15,000-won Chinese lunch set, 50 a day, from the second week of October 2026; no visitor has written about it yet.
- Accounts of bringing your own drink differ. One group-dinner post brought its own baijiu and paid a 30,000-won corkage fee. Another says corkage is free, but that is copied information rather than experience, so we didn't count it.
- Most posts agree on prices, with a few gaps. The aged lamb-loin skewer is 23,000 won in the one post that ordered it and 24,000 in two posts copying the menu. Draft Tsingtao is listed at 8,000 won in several posts, but one says the price varies. No post totals up what a meal cost.
