Seochon Jujeom
서촌주점 Seochon is the old neighborhood west of Gyeongbokgung Palace, and jujeom means a drinking house; the sign writes the 'ju' with the Chinese character for liquor (酒).

A small anju bar in a Seochon alley west of Gyeongbokgung Station, open from 5 pm (4 pm on weekends) to 1 am, serving dishes like spicy tofu ramyeon, truffle fries and mala clams with highballs and draft beer. Three dishes came to 41,000 won on an October 2026 receipt. We read 9 posts from December 2024 to October 2026; one was about a different shop and one was a list post, leaving eight first-hand visits.

Rows without a count: 5 of 5 posts.
Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Salted sunflower seeds come free when you sit; five posts mention them. One noticed a vanilla-like scent, another kept asking for refills.
- There is exactly one outdoor table right by the door. Four posts mention it and three sat there; one saw later arrivals disappointed to miss it, another skipped it because people walk right past on the street.
- Inside is small: three posts say so, and two count about five tables. One writer nearly walked past because the sign is small.
- Three posts call the prices reasonable. An October 2026 receipt shows truffle fries 11,000 won, chicken-skin rolls 14,000 and mala clams 16,000 — 41,000 won for food, drinks extra.
1 more
- Two posts say food came out fast; the October 2026 writer was surprised given that the young owner runs it alone.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

No post describes the floor from experience; the '1st floor' in the address is just the registered address.
Nobody wrote about steps at the entrance or wheelchair and stroller access. We don't know.
One writer reports the restroom is inside the bar. Two other posts say indoors and unisex, but in copied info blocks we don't count; nobody described it first-hand as unisex.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 8 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Prices have risen: truffle fries were 9,000 won in December 2024 and 11,000 won in October 2026. Other dishes appear at only one point in time.
- Accounts of the noise split two to two: two writers found it quiet, two found it lively and loud.
- Only one post saw a wait first-hand, with people queuing behind them in June 2026. Another had heard there is usually a wait but got the last table; we don't count hearsay. Nobody gives wait times.
- Two posts describe the walk: about 10 minutes from Gyeongbokgung Station. Exit 2 and the village bus 09 route appear only in copied info.
- All three posts that say who they came with came with friends. None came with family, children or alone, so we can't say how it suits them.
- Staffing reads differently over time: a December 2024 post praises the staff, an October 2026 post says the young owner runs it alone. We can't tell whether that changed.
- Five posts give the same hours — weekdays 5 pm to 1 am, weekends 4 pm to 1 am — but all copied from listings. Nobody mentions a closing day or last order.
- The phone number (0507-1360-9820) appears only in one post's copied info block. No one wrote about booking a table.
