Raw fish

Jinnam Hoejip

진남회집 Hoejip means a raw-fish house; the posts give no meaning for Jinnam, and the signboard over the stall reads Jinnam Hoe Yangnyeom (Jinnam raw fish and sauces).

Compiled from 21 blog posts read in fullSources →

A sangcharim restaurant on the second floor of Noryangjin Fish Market, stall 13; the sign reads Jinnam Hoe Yangnyeom. You buy fish and seafood from the market stalls, bring it here, pay a table charge, and have them make stew, steam or grill. Posts from December 2025 on give the table charge as 5,000 won a head (6,000 won without stew) and the spicy fish stew as 10,000 won for two. We read 30 posts from 14 May 2025 to 15 October 2026; 22 of them describe eating here.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. You can bring in fried food. Seven posts brought tempura from the market's fry stalls or cup noodles from a convenience store; one asked at the door and was told yes, and another booked here precisely because some other halls refuse outside tempura.
  2. There are rooms with doors. Seven posts sat in a room or the inner group area. But two posts from September–October 2026 say one room holds just two four-seat tables, so you share it with strangers; one moved back to the hall. Three posts mention a window view of the city or the Olympic expressway.
  3. Expect to wait on weekend evenings and in yellowtail season. Six posts waited: one was told 10–20 minutes, one queued from 8 pm, one says winter visits needed a phone booking. Two posts did not wait — one at Sunday noon, one with a booking.
  4. They take bookings: seven posts booked by phone or saw reserved tags on the chairs. Two posts from December 2025 say meals are limited to two hours.
4 more
  1. Seven posts found the staff friendly; two came here after being treated curtly elsewhere, and one noted the bill was settled cleanly.
  2. One post waited over an hour for steamed king crab and said it would not return; no other post complains of slow food.
  3. Three posts came by subway, walking from exit 9 of Noryangjin Station.
  4. Nine posts came with friends, two with family for birthdays or year-end dinners, one as a couple.

Posts saying you can park2 of 21 posts

Two posts used the market car park and describe the voucher given at the till: one per 50,000 won spent, up to three according to one post; the other spent less and got none. The fees themselves are the market's.

Getting inside

Second floor7 of 21 posts
Toilet insideyes 0 · no 2 (of 21 posts read)
Separate restrooms1 of 21 posts

It sits midway along the row of sangcharim halls on the market's second floor; seven posts describe going upstairs to find it.

No post says whether the entrance has a step or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in — that means unknown, not absent. Nobody says whether they reached the second floor by lift or by stairs either.

The toilets are outside the restaurant. Two posts walked out to use them; one says the nearest is the central market toilet to the right, separate for men and women, with a slightly wet floor.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 28 posts we gathered, 7 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • The table charge has gone up: 4,000 won a head in a May 2025 post, 5,000 won (6,000 without stew) in posts from December 2025. We only know it changed somewhere in between.
  • Opinions on price split: two posts call it the cheapest hall on the floor, one found the 15,000-won prawn heads and 6,000-won beer steep. One party of three paid 49,000 won here. What a meal costs depends mostly on the fish you buy.
  • Opening hours appear in only three posts, all copied from the map listing. All three give weekends as 10:00–23:00; for weekdays two say closing at 22:30 and one 23:30. No post mentions a closing day.
  • Three posts list the phone number 02-2254-7978 (two copied from the listing, one from the market's directory); one copies 0507-1462-8072. Posts say they booked by phone but not which number they dialled.
  • Four of the 30 posts are not visits: three reuse the map listing's wording (191 m from exit 7, set menus with sides and stew), and one is a generic Q&A piece whose hours (11:00–22:00 daily) match no other post. We did not count them.
