Daeseongine

대성이네 Daeseong-ine is Korean for 'Daeseong's place' — Daeseong is a given name; the posts don't say whose.

Compiled from 26 blog posts read in fullSources →

Daeseongine is a braised-chicken and chicken-hot-pot restaurant on the ground floor at Eunpyeong-ro 13-gil 11, Nokbeon-dong, Eunpyeong-gu. Perilla-leaf braised chicken, soy braised chicken and dak hanmari all cost 32,000 won for two, 45,000 for three and 55,000 for four, and posts list a 13,000-won single lunch portion with rice on weekdays from 11:00 to 15:00. The braise comes fully cooked in a cast-iron pan and ends with fried rice (3,000 won); the hot pot simmers on your table's induction burner and ends with knife-cut noodles (3,000 won). Posts say the place ran in Sinchon from 2012 before moving here. We read 26 posts dated 30 July to 19 October 2026, and every one describes an actual meal. All 26 cluster in the three months after the move and share stock phrases and hashtags; only one discloses compensation (a meal voucher).

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. You order from a tablet or kiosk at each table — ten posts say so. Water, aprons and wet wipes are self-service, and several posts warn that noodle and cheese add-ons can only go in with the first order.
  2. The standard side dishes are spicy fish-cake stir-fry, cubed radish kimchi and dongchimi, and twelve posts say you top them up yourself from a self-service bar. One post went back for the fish cake twice; another notes the containers are kept covered.
  3. The perilla braise comes in five heat levels, pegged to instant-noodle brands from mild up to Buldak, with the top level costing 2,000 won extra. Five posts found it hot, two found it mild (at the lowest and middle levels), and five didn't say either way. One post ordered the lowest level and both diners still found it hot; another says the owner double-checked before serving the middle level.
  4. Seven posts say the chicken had no gamey smell; none say it did. The claim that only fresh, never-frozen chicken is used is the restaurant's own line repeated by bloggers, so we don't count it.
7 more
  1. Nineteen posts call the place clean; one says the blogger's mother-in-law wiped the table on sitting down and pronounced it spotless, and another says the restroom was clean too. Thirteen call it spacious, one counted about 12 tables, and one called it neither small nor large.
  2. Fourteen posts describe the owners as friendly, and several mention being coached at the table: soak the perilla leaves first, or the noodles only need a short boil.
  3. Twelve posts say portions are large — one says the two-person size was a lot for two, another that the fried rice looked like three servings — while one post called the amount of meat just right for two.
  4. Two posts mention a wait, one counting two groups ahead on a weekday evening. Three posts that came at 17:05 on a Saturday, after the weekday lunch rush, or just before the afternoon break found it quiet. Two more say it was busy or nearly full in the evening without saying whether they waited.
  5. Three posts saw high chairs; none of the posts describe visiting with a child.
  6. Of the posts that say who they went with, five went as a couple, two with a mother or mother-in-law, and two with friends; one drove there.
  7. There are several ways to get the fried-egg plate free: two posts got it through the review event, and others through a Naver booking, by adding noodles, or at weekday lunch. The conditions differ from post to post, so ask on arrival.

Parking

2 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park2 of 26 posts

The 'three spaces behind the building' line is copied in nearly every post. One post actually parked there, and one looked at the lot and guessed four or five cars could fit. One post says there is no parking at all, and another recommends the district office car park, free on weekends.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 3 (of 26 posts read)

Three posts describe the restaurant as being on the building's ground floor, not a basement. Nobody mentions a lift or an upper floor.

No post mentions a step, ramp, or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That means we don't know, not that there is no step.

One post says the restroom was clean, but nobody says whether it is inside the restaurant or separated by gender. A line saying there is an indoor restroom appears only in a copied info block.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Only one post says it walked from the station — about seven minutes from Yeokchon. The '604 m from Yeokchon exit 4' line and the Nokbeon directions are the same copied text in many posts.
  • Every post says the place moved from Sinchon, but always as hearsay or quoting the restaurant's own blog, and all the posts we read are from after the move. We know nothing first-hand about the Sinchon years. Even the age is given variously as 15, 14 (the restaurant's blog) and 13 years.
  • Opening hours appear in 24 posts, all in copied info blocks. Most agree: Tuesday to Friday 11:00-23:00 with a 15:00-17:00 break, weekends 12:00-23:00 with no break, last order 22:00, closed Mondays. One post gives weekend closing as 22:00, three list an 11:00 Saturday opening, and one says to check whether it opens on Sundays.
  • Prices agree across posts at 32,000 won for two; with noodles and fried rice, two people spend in the high 30,000s. Only the single lunch portion differs: 13,000 won in most posts, 12,000 in one. No post calls it expensive, and four call it good value or ordinary.
  • Eleven posts give the phone number 0507-1440-9151; one gives 02-356-9151. One post booked through Naver.
  • Only one of the 26 posts discloses compensation, but stock phrases — 'not a new opening but a proven old favourite', 'the Sinchon queue spot has landed in Eungam-dong', 'good for family dinners in Eungam-dong' — and identical hashtags recur across many of them. Some are probably promotional, so we counted only what each post says the writer actually experienced, not the slogans.
