Seoryeong's main branch sits on the ground floor of the Danam Tower at 10 Sowol-ro, Jung-gu, between Sungnyemun Gate and Namdaemun Market. It serves Pyongyang-style cold noodles made from 100% buckwheat in a Korean-beef broth (Seoryeong sunmyeon, 17,000 won), and many diners add boiled pork jowl (19,000 won for a half plate, 37,000 for a full one) or steamed dumplings (6,000 won for three). Orders go through a tablet at each table. We read 30 posts from August 2025 to October 2026: 24 describe an actual visit, 5 are list-style write-ups copied from guides such as the Seoul 100, and 1 was about another restaurant and set aside. An August 2025 post puts the noodles at 16,000 won.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- Expect to wait. Of the 24 visit posts, 17 describe waiting and 2 walked straight in (a weekday at 4:30 pm, and after the dinner rush). Reported waits were 20 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour, an hour and a half (two posts), 129 minutes and two hours; another post registered at 2:30 pm on a weekend and was seated around 4. Four visitors note that on-site CatchTable registration opens at 10:30 and remote registration at 11:20, and several queued remotely while browsing the market or sitting in the Starbucks next door. Two posts say the whole party must be present to be seated.
- There is a separate place to wait. Eleven posts mention a waiting area, nine of them the one upstairs on the second floor. Posts describe a large screen showing queue numbers, air conditioning, soft chairs and phone chargers. One post notes a sign asking that the ground-floor seats be left for elderly or pregnant guests.
- Ordering is done on a tablet at the table, as 13 posts note. Two posts say side-dish and broth refills can also be requested on it, and several mention a 'how to enjoy it' guide shown for each dish.
- Six posts mention a private or separated room. One says evening table reservations are for four or more and that rooms for six to eight can be booked through Naver. Two posts say staff grill the bulgogi at the table.

- Among posts that say who they went with, five went as a couple, three with friends, two with family (a mother), and one alone. Three drove.

Parking
2 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Parking has changed. The Danam Tower garage can be used for a fee, but several posts say the restaurant's parking discount has ended — one dates it to 11 July, and since a December 2025 post already reports no discount, we read that as July 2025. A QR code at the entrance lists three nearby paid lots. Of the three posts that drove, one found the public lot full and paid 3,000 won for 30 minutes next door, and another had to use a valet because nearby lots were full.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Only one visitor mentioned the floor from experience, noting it is on the ground floor of a large building and easy to find. The waiting area, though, is upstairs; one post says you climb the stairs beside the queue machine to reach it. No post mentions a lift.
Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair — that means we don't know, not that there is a problem. Two posts mention high chairs and one mentions toddler plates.
Only one post mentions the toilet, saying it is outside the restaurant. Nobody said whether it is separated by sex or how big it is.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
| 2026-10-07 | 2 posts in one day |

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Almost every post repeats that it is a few minutes from Hoehyeon Station exit 5 or a short walk from Seoul Station, but that is copied information; no visitor actually described arriving by subway or bus. One took a taxi from Seoul Station.
- Opening hours come only from copied info blocks. Of the 15 posts that list them, 13 say 11:00–21:30 and 2 (December 2025 and July 2026) say 11:00–21:00, so the closing time is uncertain; all agree on last orders at 20:30. Individual posts say there is no afternoon break and no regular closing day. A Seoul 100 list post gives Tuesday closing and a 15:00–17:00 break, but that is a list entry and we did not count it.
- Prices have risen once: the noodles were 16,000 won in an August 2025 post and 17,000 won from December 2025 on. Three posts called it expensive and one said it was pricey but worth it. A pair who ordered two bowls of noodles and a half plate of pork paid 53,000 won. The 18,000 won in one Seoul 100 table is a copied list figure and we did not rely on it.
- Seven posts give the phone number as 0507-1427-8766; one lists 0507-1386-5518 instead. Booking mostly means joining the CatchTable remote queue; one post says evening tables can be reserved for groups of four or more.
- The story that the restaurant began in Hongcheon, moved to Ganghwa Island and came to Seoul in 2024 is repeated from the restaurant's own materials and the Michelin write-up, and predates our posts, so we don't treat it as evidence. Posts from autumn 2026 report a new Korean-beef yukgaejang soup at 16,000 won.
- Two posts said the food was slow to arrive, one getting the pork first and waiting a good while for the noodles. The rest didn't comment.
