Montist Lab Coffee is a takeout-only coffee bar under the overpass a short walk from Hoehyeon Station exit 4 toward Seoul Station, in an ivy-covered building. It opened in June 2026 — a June 19 post calls it 'opened yesterday.' You order at the kiosk out front or through Naver and pick up at a window; the house Monti latte is 4,800 won and the mint mojito latte 5,800 won, with cookies and financiers on the side. Most posts come from Namdaemun Market shoppers or office workers grabbing lunch coffee. We read 30 posts dated June 19 to October 16, 2026; 26 describe an actual visit, and we set aside one that was about another cafe.

What sets it apart
- There is nowhere to sit. Seven posts say there are no seats inside — the space behind the window is just the bar. People drank standing on the stairs next door, walked up to the Seoullo 7017 skypark, or carried cups back to the office; one found no bench nearby.
- Expect a line at lunch. Nine posts saw or joined a queue, one describing it stretching onto the sidewalk. Recorded waits are 'around 10 minutes' twice, under 3 minutes once, and 5 minutes for a Naver pre-order placed around 11:50 on a weekday. One post says 12:30 to 1:00 is the worst; even on the morning after opening, commuters were already lining up.
- Drinks come out faster than the line suggests. Three posts say they got theirs quickly; one could see several baristas working at once behind the window, and another counted three or four staff.
- Ordering is by the kiosk at the entrance. Nine posts mention it, one noting there is only a single machine. One liked that a printed menu nearby lets you decide while waiting; another felt the kiosk spoils the European-looking storefront.

- Ordering ahead on Naver gets 5% off. Three posts (July, August, October) actually got the discount; the August post said the coupon ran to August 29, yet an October post used a 5% coupon too. A September post relays a notice that Naver ordering may be paused during the lunch rush.
- The mint mojito latte is a latte poured over fresh mint leaves. Three posts call it sweet, one likening it to crushed mint under a sweet latte. One complained the leaves come up the straw, another that they got stuck in the teeth.

Floor: the registered address says basement level 1, but posts check in at '1st floor,' and one describes it as the ground floor of an ivy-covered building. Nobody mentions going downstairs. Several note a stepped alley right beside it.
No one says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can reach the kiosk and window. That means we don't know, not that it's a problem.
No post mentions a toilet. As a seatless takeout counter, we don't know whether customers can use one.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opening hours have changed. Two June 2026 posts give 8:00-16:30 with Saturdays off and Sundays 11:00-15:00; a July 30 post gives weekdays 8:00-16:30 with both weekend days off; from an August 23 post on it is weekdays 07:30-16:30, closed weekends. All seven posts with current hours copy an info block, and one (October 10) lists Friday as 10:00-15:00 instead. One poster found it shut on a holiday-weekend day in October.
- Price: the Monti latte is 4,500 won on an August 23 menu and 4,800 won in three October posts; with only one post at 4,500 we can't tell a price rise from a typo. Per the menu copied on October 2, coffee runs 3,500-6,300 won and desserts 3,200-3,800 won, so a latte and a cookie come to 8,600 won. Three posts found it on the pricey side for a takeout spot; two said it was reasonable.
- The phone number 0507-1388-0223 appears in three posts, all copied info. No one booked or ordered by phone; several pre-ordered through Naver instead.
- A September 24 post merely paraphrases the place listing, so we did not count its 'closed Sundays' or 'no pets.' The 'blended milk' and 'owner's pick' lines are the shop's own claims, repeated by posters.
