Taeseong Golbaengi Sinsa Nagwon-jeom
태성골뱅이신사 낙원점 Golbaengi is the Korean word for whelk, a sea snail — the house dish is whelk dressed in a spicy sauce with scallion strips and somen on the side; Nagwon-jeom means the Nagwon branch.

A big beer hall at Suphyo-ro 114, a short walk from exit 5 of Jongno 3-ga station, facing the street-stall strip by Tapgol Park. Most posts order the whelk salad with somen on the side (small 29,000 won), fried chicken and draft beer, often as a second stop of the night. It is a branch of the Taeseong Golbaengi Sinsa chain. We read 30 posts from January 2025 to October 2026; 24 are about this place and 21 describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Ten posts call the room large. One describes round tables pushed together for groups; a party of seven or eight walked straight in; another found empty tables at the back even at peak time.
- There are blue plastic tables out front, and six posts sat there. Impressions differ: one couple had the terrace to themselves, while another found the tables packed close and every bit of street noise audible.
- Eight posts mention big screens showing sports; one group came here specifically to watch a Korea–Japan baseball game on a larger screen.
- Six posts note a free bowl of puffed macaroni snacks when you sit down.
3 more
- Seven posts call the whelk dish spicy, one says it isn't; one picked the whelk out because the raw scallion was too hot. One notes the traditional dressing has no vinegar, and another says you can ask for it with or without.
- Eight posts call the chicken coating crisp; one says it turned rock-hard once it cooled.
- No post reports waiting. Two say they got in immediately, including a group of seven or eight; several came here because the stalls nearby were full.

Parking
1 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

One post states in its own words there is no parking. Copied listings contradict each other (no parking vs. a private lot), so we don't rely on them.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 1 of 21 posts |

No one describes the floor from experience. The address says ground floor and six posts sat at tables right outside, but nobody actually comments on it.
No post mentions a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That means we don't know, not that it's a problem.
Only one post says the toilet is inside the premises; nobody says whether it is separated by gender or how big it is.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 24 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Speed is split one to one: one post got food almost at once, another found it slow on a busy night.
- Prices vary a little between posts. Three put the 12,000-won fried chicken as a half, one as a whole bird. Draft beer is 3,900 won in an October 2026 post and 10,000 won for two 500cc glasses in August. One receipt shows 39,000 won for two people sharing the whelk dish with a beer and a soju. Two posts found it pricey, one reasonable.
- Nine posts list hours and eight agree: daily 11:00 to 01:00, last order midnight — though most copied this from a listing. One says it closes at midnight. The only word on closing days is a copied 'no regular holiday'.
- Three posts give the phone number 02-744-8785. No one says they booked; the advice to reserve ahead appears only in a promotional write-up with no sign of a visit.
- Two promotional posts share the same template — numbered headings, no order, price or companions — and are not counted; one quotes prices that don't match those in actual visits.
