Ppasak Jokbal
빠삭족발 Ppasak is the sound of something crackling crisp, and jokbal is braised pig's trotters — the house deep-fries its boiled trotters.
Compiled from 27 blog posts read in fullSources →
Ppasak Jokbal fries its boiled pig's trotters, in a hanok alley of Ikseon-dong just behind exit 4 of Jongno 3-ga station. All 28 people who actually ate there ordered the same thing: a platter on a 72cm wooden board with boneless fried trotters, pastry pizza, spicy chewy noodles, bocconcini salad and fries — 41,000 won for two to three, 42,500 with chilli-mayo, garlic-red or gangjeong sauce, 48,000 for three to four. Two people sharing the small one pay a little over 20,000 won each before drinks. There is a ground-floor hall and an upper floor looking over tiled roofs. We read 30 posts dated 1 July to 25 October 2026; 28 describe a visit, and the other two only repeat a 8 July KBS TV segment.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- A free bowl of broth arrives as soon as you order; 21 posts mention it. Through summer and into mid-October it was icy acorn-jelly soup or dongchimi; from 18 October several posts describe hot udon broth instead, and the 25 October writer guessed it changed because the weather had suddenly turned cold. Some got a refill of the jelly soup.
- Eleven posts call the upper floor a 'rooftop', but it is enclosed: writers describe an 'indoor rooftop', a front of plastic sheeting rather than a wall, and a tent over the roof with strong air conditioning inside. One sat at a bar counter facing the tiled roofs; on 18 October the upper floor was shut because of wind and rain.
- Eleven posts say the place is roomy — tables far enough apart that a busy evening of office groups still felt quiet. Group seating comes up again and again; one post put it at six to thirty people. Several mention coat racks on both floors.
- Twenty-two posts describe the coating as crisp; some note the meat is boneless and the batter thin. Many say the spicy noodles and salad are there to reset the palate between bites of fried trotter and pizza.
3 more
- Ten posts call the portions large — one pair couldn't finish the two-to-three-person board, another said it fed three adults. One writer found it just right for two.
- Eleven posts walked from Jongno 3-ga station, putting it at two to seven minutes. It sits deep in the alleys; one writer advises following the map past the point where you start to doubt it.
- Ten posts went as a couple; others went with parents or friends.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

The restaurant starts at street level — three posts sat on the ground floor — and the upper floor is reached by stairs.
Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or wheelchair or stroller access — that means we don't know, not that it is fine. No one mentions a lift either; the writer who went with parents chose the ground floor because it was easier to get to.
Five posts say the toilet is inside the restaurant; one says it is unisex.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Post after post recommends it for group dinners, wedding-invitation meetups and birthdays, yet none was written by a group; one writer only saw office and club parties at nearby tables.
- Only one post talks about waiting: on 3 October there was no queue around 6pm, though it filled up afterwards. Predictions of queues after the July TV segment come from write-ups by people who never went, so we didn't count them.
- Many posts give the phone number as 0507-1485-3450. Most mentions of reservations are copied from the listing; the one first-hand account found nearly every table booked on a weekend.
- Prices are consistent across posts, and five call it good value. Three figures differ: one gives the chilli-mayo platter at 41,000 won, one the plain platter at 40,000, and a TV write-up the gangjeong at 42,000.
- Views on greasiness split: five posts say it isn't greasy, two say it gets heavy and they leaned on the salad and noodles.
- Twenty-six posts list the same opening hours — Tuesday to Friday 17:00-22:00, weekends 16:00-22:00, closed Mondays — all copied from the listing rather than checked. One visit post gives last orders at 21:00.
- Many posts look templated: a burst of October posts repeat '72cm', 'Korea's first fried-jokbal specialist', 'great for groups, wedding-invite and birthday meetups' and the same hashtag set. Two disclose sponsorship, one was a reviewer-programme visit, one says self-paid, and the other 24 say nothing. Claims about domestic front-leg pork and no additives are the shop's own and we don't rely on them. The 1 July post includes side-dish text from a different jokbal restaurant, which we ignored.
