SABAL
사발 Sabal Sabal is the Korean word for a deep earthenware bowl; one blogger noted the bibimbap arrived in exactly that, 'just like the name.'

Sabal is a Korean restaurant inside the Gyeonghuigung-ui Achim complex 3 shopping arcade in Naesu-dong, Jongno, between Gyeongbokgung and Gwanghwamun stations. Bibimbap-style rice bowls served with mini noodles (octopus with deodeok gochujang, perilla oil with gamtae seaweed) and noodle or rice soups (perilla-seed with oysters, spicy chicken, chicken noodles) run 16,000–17,000 won a bowl, and a side of mini tteokbokki is 8,000 won. Pumpkin porridge and three side dishes come before the meal. We read 30 posts from March to October 2026; 19 were about this restaurant and 16 were first-hand visits (September–October 2026).

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The outdoor seating defines the place. Fourteen of the visit posts mention the terrace or outdoor tables, and four say they actually sat outside; one noted that few people pass by the terrace. October posts add that it will be hard to use once the weather turns cold.
- Eleven visitors booked ahead through Naver. Three saw a queue themselves: one arrived at 6 pm on a weekday and found a dinner queue when leaving, one saw people waiting at the door after the lunch rush, and one described writing your name on a list at peak lunch. One post said there was no wait. Two mention a waiting bench at the entrance.
- Five posts say the table water is a grain tea of barley, corn and solomon's seal instead of plain water. Almost every visit post mentions the pre-meal pumpkin porridge; four say it came cold and one says warm.
- Of the nine posts that say who they came with, seven came with family (a mother, a son and daughter-in-law, a child, siblings) and two with friends. A parent with a baby wrote that staff moved them to a quieter private room when the baby fell asleep. Two posts saw high chairs themselves.

- Five posts call the portions generous, including the spicy chicken soup and the children's noodles. One post disagreed, finding the octopus rice bowl a little small.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Wheelchair access to the entrance and seats appears only in copied information blocks. No visitor wrote about a step or ramp at the door — that means nobody mentioned it, not that there is none. The restaurant is on the arcade's ground floor, and one post says it has entrances from both the inner corridor and the outside.
Only one post covers the restroom: a shared building restroom just outside past the terrace tables, described as roomy and clean. Separate men's and women's rooms are mentioned only in copied info blocks.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 19 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opening hours are given almost everywhere as 11:30–20:50 on weekdays and 11:30–19:50 on weekends, mostly copied. Most posts split the break as 14:50–17:00 weekdays and 14:50–16:30 weekends; those that list a single break disagree. One post says there is no closing day, and another lists weekdays as Tuesday–Friday.
- Prices are from September–October 2026 posts. With bowls at 16,000–17,000 won and an 8,000-won mini tteokbokki, a meal for two comes to around 40,000 won. No dish showed a different price within that period.
- Several October 2026 posts follow the same order and wording (278 m from exit 7, the parking note, the porridge and three side dishes), suggesting sponsored writing. None disclose sponsorship, so we counted them, but the praise deserves a discount. The phone number is 02-720-4845; bookings are listed via Naver and CatchTable.
