An Indian-curry and Iranian-kebab house in a yellow building down an alley opposite the main gate of Sungkyunkwan University, at 9 Seonggyungwan-ro 6-gil, Jongno-gu. Posts say it opened in 2002 and is run by an Iranian-born owner. The most-ordered dish is the two-person whole-chicken curry set (35,000 won), ordered in 13 of the 25 visit posts: a roast chicken under curry with a crisp scorched-rice 'rice cake'. Single curries with rice are 15,000 won, naan 2,500–4,000 won, and you choose the heat level by number. Nearly every post mentions walls covered in TV-appearance photos and Persian paintings and ornaments. We read 30 posts from August 2025 to October 2026; 25 describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Expect to wait at weekend lunch. Seven posts waited or saw a line; the times they give are 10 minutes, 20–30, 30, and 40 minutes even with a reservation. One counted three or four groups ahead at about 12:30 on a Sunday, another about eight people at 12:50 on a Saturday, and one found it full by 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Several describe the owner handing out numbered tickets and ordering at the kiosk while you wait. Three walked straight in: on a weekday evening, at Sunday opening time, and late, close to last orders.
- There is a separate waiting area: seven posts mention a waiting room or waiting seats, one says it is downstairs, and one noticed the dessert menu posted there.
- Ten posts say you order on a kiosk or the tablet at each table and must pay before the order reaches the kitchen. For cash or paying afterwards you press the bell; one post noted the kiosk offers Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese. A paper menu is also on the table.
- Heat is chosen by number; one post lists the scale as children's sauce, then 1.8, 2.0, 2.2, 2.5, 2.7, 3.0 and 3.5. Five posts found it spicy, four found it milder than expected, and three were in between (a hot first bite that faded). One ordered the hottest level, felt little heat, and was told it could not be made hotter once cooked. Several compared levels 2.2–2.5 to Shin Ramyun.
4 more
- Ten posts call the portions large: one couple left some of the chicken set, another said the rice with one curry was enough for two. One post found the chicken set only so-so for the price, and one said the qeimeh stew was small.
- Ten posts walked from Hyehwa Station exit 4, giving 6 to 13 minutes, one saying 10–15. The restaurant sits down an alley opposite the university gate and is not visible from the main road; one couple walked past it. One post suggests taking a bus instead because the walk from the subway is long.
- Only one post differs on smell: four said the lamb or chicken had almost no gamey odour, while one found the chicken smelly and tough at around 6 p.m.
- Six posts went with a partner or spouse and four with friends; one woman returned with her husband to the place of their first date in 2021.

Parking
1 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.
| Posts saying you cannot | 1 of 25 posts |

Parking is unconfirmed. Several posts say you can use the lot just inside the university's main gate and get 50% off by giving your plate number at the counter, but all of this is hearsay or copied information; no one says they parked there. One post found parking awkward down the alley, and others list parking as not possible.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Ten posts walked from Hyehwa Station exit 4, giving 6 to 13 minutes, one saying 10–15. The restaurant sits down an alley opposite the university gate and is not visible from the main road; one couple walked past it. One post suggests taking a bus instead because the walk from the subway is long.
Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 25 posts read) |
|---|
Seating seems to be on the ground floor and in a basement. One post ate in the ground-floor hall and said the basement room is used for group bookings; others mention the basement being used for crowds or groups, being dark on their visit, or holding the waiting room. Nobody said whether the way down is by stairs.
No one wrote about a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in; we do not know. Two posts note there is a front and a back door off the alley, and that you can enter by either.
One post says only that the toilet is downstairs. Whether it is inside the restaurant or split by gender, no one said.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Fourteen posts give opening hours as 11:00–21:10 daily, eleven a 15:00–16:00 break and six last orders at 20:45, mostly copied from listings. One gives the break as 15:30–16:00 and one says closing is around 21:30. Eight say it opens every day of the year. Weekday lunch sets are sold only 11:00–15:00.
- Prices in September–October 2026 posts: chicken curry set for two 35,000 won, curry with rice 15,000, half chicken with rice 16,000, butter naan 2,500, cheese naan 4,000, extra curry 4,000. One couple paid 37,500 won for the set plus a butter naan. One post found it a bit pricier than typical campus restaurants; one called it reasonable. A September 2025 post shows the same 15,000-won curry, so we found no price change in the period we read.
- Several posts give the phone number as 02-763-6050. Reservations are unclear: one post advises booking on Naver and another waited 40 minutes despite booking, but an October 2026 listing says there is no Naver booking button. Copied store text says group bookings are taken by phone.
- Posts cluster in October 2026 and repeat the same points: the YouTuber Dudley, the receipt-review drink, the power outlets by the seats. Only one discloses sponsorship; we could not tell whether the others were commissioned.
