Hyodam Kalguksu Dakhanmari
효담칼국수 닭한마리 Kalguksu are knife-cut noodles and dakhanmari means 'one whole chicken', a Seoul hotpot of a whole chicken simmered at the table; the posts do not explain Hyodam.

A dakhanmari and kalguksu restaurant one floor below street level on Myeongdong 3-gil. A pot of whole chicken for two (30,000 won) simmers at the table, and noodles (3,000 won) go into the leftover broth. We read three posts, from August to October 2026, and all three ate there. All three ordered from a tablet at the table.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- All three posts noticed a lot of foreign customers: one that went around 7 pm put them at nearly 80%, and one that went around 3 pm said about half. One post noted that the how-to-eat and sauce-mixing instructions on the wall come in several languages.
- None of the three posts had to queue to get in. But one that came after work found the line filling the doorway and stairs on the way out, and another put its luck down to arriving around 3 pm, well after lunch. All three found the room nearly full.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| In a basement | 2 of 3 posts |
|---|
Two posts describe going down the stairs to the basement, one telling readers to take the stairs carefully. Another saw the queue stretching from the door up the stairs on the way out.
No post says whether there is a step at the entrance, whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in, or whether there is a lift — only that two posts walked down stairs to the basement.
No post describes the toilets. One post's info block lists separate men's and women's toilets, but that is copied from the shop listing and we did not count it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Two posts say it is near exit 6 of Euljiro 1-ga station, but that comes from copied info blocks and intros; no post describes actually getting there by subway, so we did not count it.
- Only one post says who it went with, a boyfriend. We don't know how the place suits solo diners, families or groups.
- All three posts give the same opening hours, 10:30 to 22:15 with last order at 21:30 and a 15:30 to 17:00 break, but all three copied them from the shop listing. One post alone gives a shorter weekend break, 15:30 to 16:30.
- Listed prices are 30,000 won for chicken for two, 3,000 won for noodles and 10,000 won for the dumplings, so chicken plus noodles for two comes to 33,000 won. No post called it expensive or cheap.
- All three posts copy the phone number 0507-1488-0581 into their info blocks, but none says whether the restaurant takes reservations.
