Boseung Hoegwan Myeongdong-jeom
보승회관 명동점 Hoegwan means a hall, an old word for a large eating house; the posts do not explain Boseung, and Myeongdong-jeom marks this as the chain's Myeongdong branch.

The Myeongdong branch of Boseung Hoegwan, a blood-sausage soup chain, on Myeongdong 9-gil between Euljiro 1-ga and Myeongdong stations, across from Hadongkwan. Sundae-gukbap is 11,000 won, pork-jowl soup 13,000, the spicy jowl soup 14,000, and the sets that add jowl and sausage to a soup are 16,000 per person for two or more. In the evening people order drinking platters such as assorted boiled pork or sausage-and-jowl (34,000) and sausage-intestine hot pot (32,000), kept warm on a burner. You order from a device at the table and top up side dishes at a self-serve bar. We read 17 posts dated 11 May to 14 October 2026; every one is a visit, and two disclose sponsorship.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Roomy for Myeongdong. Nine posts call the room spacious, often adding that tables are well apart and that there are seats for solo diners as well as groups. One describes a front that widens toward the back; a sponsored post ate in a quiet inner section. A company lunch of nine took three tables.
- Kimchi, radish kimchi, chives and salted shrimp are set at the table, and refills come from a self-serve bar; eight posts mention it. Diners took extra chives, chillies, garlic and soybean paste, plates are there too, and two who had boiled pork or hot pot got more broth.
- Four posts say you order from a device at each table, and one says you pay at the counter on the way out. Chili paste goes into the soups by default; one diner forgot to untick it and got a red broth, so choose the no-paste option if you want it white.
- The sets need at least two people; three posts say so, one flatly noting single portions cannot be ordered. Two posts point solo diners to the one-person special set at 18,000 won.
2 more
- Four posts noticed many foreign customers, one estimating more than half the room. Two say the menu board at the door is also in English and Chinese, one adding Japanese.
- Seven posts say the pork had no off smell, across the jowl, assorted boiled pork, intestine hot pot and offal soup; none says otherwise. No post calls it expensive, and four call the prices fair or cheap.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 1 of 15 posts |

The address says ground floor, but no post describes the floor or any stairs on the way in. That is silence, not a confirmation.
Nobody says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or pushchair gets in.
One post mentions the toilet: clean and inside the restaurant. Nobody says whether it is separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Heat depends on the dish. Two posts found the chicken feet and the 'hell' soup hot; one found the spicy jowl set's soup not hot; another called the spicy pork soup peppery but not punishing.
- Opening hours disagree. Eleven posts say open 24 hours (three add every day of the year), but two posts from May and September 2026 say Sundays run only 00:00 to 22:00 with last orders at 21:20. 24-hour posts sit on both sides of those dates, so we cannot call it a change, and most of these lines are copied listings. Check before a late Sunday visit.
- Seven posts repeat the same directions, menu outline and landmark line in nearly the same order, which looks like a guide supplied by the restaurant; only two posts in all disclose sponsorship, neither among those seven. We treat the shared lines, including no parking, takeaway and reservations, as copied listings, not evidence.
- The '268 m from Euljiro 1-ga exit 5' line is copied from the listing in many posts. Two posts describe actually walking there: a short walk from Myeongdong station, and a route through the food alley from Euljiro 1-ga exit 5 to the spot opposite Hadongkwan.
- No post reports queuing. One early lunch was unhurried, one early-morning visit found the room nearly full and only just got a seat, and one post guesses there would be a wait at lunch. We do not know what peak lunchtime is like.
- Company does not add up to a pattern: one solo lunch, one office meal of nine, one diner who drove, and the rest just say 'we'.
- Prices match across posts from August to October 2026, except the pollack side: 4,500 won in September, 'about 4,000' in October. The office-meal post did not see the total because the company paid.
- Several posts give the same phone number, 0507-1320-7612. Group reservations appear only in copied listings; no post says it booked ahead.
