Gapjin Sigyuk

값진식육 Gapjin means 'valuable, worth the price' and sigyuk means meat for the table; the full sign reads 'Sogogi Ttaenggineun Nal Gapjin Sigyuk', roughly 'the day you crave beef'.

An aged-Hanwoo grill on the ground floor of a building at Seonyu-ro 58-4, near Mullae Station. In the evening you order a platter and grill it yourself on a cast-iron plate, then finish with doenjang stew or shiitake doenjang rice simmered at the table. Lunch (until 3 pm) is soups only: short rib soup, rib gomtang, yukgaejang. The 300 g standard platter was 59,500 won in posts through September 2026 and 69,000 won in October; lunch galbitang is 19,000 won regular, 23,000 won large. We read 30 posts dated 21 July to 19 October 2026: 24 describe eating there, 6 are about a Chuseok gift box cooked at home.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Expect a wait at lunch. Three posts mention waiting, all at lunch: one arrived at 10:55, five minutes before opening, found a party already ahead and the room full within the hour; a Friday regular says there is always a queue at the lunch peak. One evening regular wrote that there is hardly ever a wait.
  2. Staff don't grill for you. Two posts say a server explains the cuts and order at the start and you grill from then on. Several posts note the doenjang stew can only be ordered once the grilling is done.
  3. Fourteen posts call the room large; one guessed around 30 tables. One lunch visitor, though, found the tables close together and said a stroller would never fit.
  4. Write a Naver review and you get free yukhoe (or raw beef slices or brisket point); seven posts received it. One says it applies only to grill orders, not the lunch soups.

Getting inside

Step-free accessyes 0 · no 1 (of 24 posts read)
Toilet inside1 of 24 posts

No one described the floor or any stairs from experience; only the address says ground floor. That means no one wrote about it, not that there is nothing to know.

No post mentions an entrance step. The only stroller comment says the aisles are too narrow for one. August and October posts note construction out front and entry through a side door.

Only one post describes the restroom: inside the restaurant and clean enough to use with a four-year-old. Separate men's and women's rooms appear only in copied info lines, which we didn't count.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 6 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Prices went up. A September 2026 menu shows the standard platter at 59,500 won for 300 g, the premium at 135,000 won for 450 g and tenderloin-and-rib at 128,000 won for 450 g; October posts show 69,000, 148,500 and 144,000 won. The large galbitang stayed at 23,000 won. Yukgaejang appears at 12,000 won in one post and 13,000 won in another.
  • Corkage is unclear: one regular says it's free, while copied info lines in two posts say it's allowed for a fee. No post describes actually bringing a bottle.
  • The '495 m, six to eight minutes from Mullae Station exit 3' figures all come from copied info lines; no post says they actually walked from the station.
  • Six posts went with family, four with a partner, one with a group of eight. Three brought children; one noted there is no high chair.
  • Fifteen posts give the hours as 11:00–22:00; last order is 21:10 in six and 21:00 in one, mostly copied from the listing. Several say the lunch menu runs until 3 pm and grilling starts at 1 pm; one says grilling starts at 11 am on weekends. One post says there is no day off.
  • Two phone numbers appear: 0507-1430-9288 in five posts, 02-2634-9288 in one. Two posts booked ahead and found the table already set.
  • Many posts look templated. Six Chuseok gift-box posts describe the same green box, skin packaging, salt and ice packs in the same order; they aren't about eating at the restaurant, so we didn't count them. A lunch post and a dinner post open with the same phrase and share hashtags. One post discloses a free meal, three say they paid, the rest say nothing.
