Mullae Galmaegi

문래갈매기 Mullae is the neighborhood; galmaegi literally means seagull, but here it is short for galmaegi-sal, the pork skirt meat cut from the diaphragm (gamak-isal), which the house grills as its main dish.

A pork grill house in an alley of the Mullae arts village where staff grill galmaegi-sal (pork skirt meat) at your table. We have read just one post, from 8 October 2026: a group of coworkers went at 10:30 on a Tuesday night, ordered six 150 g portions at 19,000 won each, and added spicy soybean-pulp stew and cheonggukjang (10,000 won each), grilled deodeok (13,000 won for 200 g) and Sapporo draft (8,000 won). With a single post, everything below is one person's one visit.

What sets it apart

  1. Staff grill the meat at your table. The post describes the skirt meat arriving in long strips with the membrane still on and being grilled by staff, along with salted anchovy sauce and salted shrimp warmed on the grill — the shrimp, it notes, was sweet rather than salty. Only the grilled deodeok came out ready-made from the kitchen.
  2. The table fills with side dishes: the post lists sauces, pollock roe, scallion salad, green-onion kimchi, white kimchi and seasoned raw crab, and says everything except the crab is refilled generously on request.
  3. The post says the room is not wide but runs deep, with tables for four as well as six and eight, which suited its work dinner. It mentions clouds, small planes and hot-air balloons hung from the ceiling and walls covered in signatures and joke slogans.

Where it is

Map showing where Mullae Galmaegi is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

No post describes which floor it is on or any stairs; the address says ground floor, but nobody wrote about it from experience.

No post describes the entrance step or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. The post's info block says wheelchair accessible, but that is copied listing data, so we don't count it.

No post says whether the toilet is inside or separated by gender. We don't know.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • The post says the spicy soybean-pulp stew was just pleasantly hot for spice lovers, but a few people gave up on it; it suggests cheonggukjang for those who avoid heat.
  • We don't know much about waits yet. The one post found no line at 10:30 pm on a Tuesday and guessed there often is one, suggesting a CatchTable queue; no post has described the early evening or weekends.
  • No post describes walking from a station. The post quotes 374 m from Mullae Station exit 1 (Line 2), but that is copied location info; it says only that the alley wasn't hard to find.
  • The only post is a work group dinner, so we can't say how it suits solo diners, couples or families.
  • Opening hours come only from one post's copied info block: weekdays 3 pm to 3 am, weekends 11:30 am to 3 am, no break and no regular closing day, closing early if ingredients run out. No second post confirms them.
  • Prices come from a single October 2026 post, which gave no total bill, so we can't say what a meal costs per person. It did miss a light side dish to go with more soju.
  • The phone number 010-9914-9925 and the note that groups and reservations are accepted both come from one post's copied info block; no one has written about actually calling to book.
