BEEKEND
비캔드 Bikaendeu Beekend joins 'B' and 'weekend' — one post explains it as weekend-like good things that start with B, such as bakery and brioche.

Beekend is a French toast café filling a two-storey house in an alley beside Mangwon Market (Mangwon-ro 10-gil). Twenty-one posts describe choosing bread and ordering on the ground floor, then eating upstairs. Prices given: plain brioche French toast 8,900 won, crème brûlée French toast 9,900, seasonal versions such as fig, sweet potato brûlée and sweet corn 14,900, peach 15,900, and a drip-brewed americano 4,500. A brunch set runs from opening until 1 p.m. It used to be a cramped shop near Mangridan-gil; three posts say it moved here. We read 30 posts dated 26 August to 17 October 2026, 28 of them from actual visits.

Rows without a count: 14 of 15 posts.
Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Weekends mean a wait. Six posts waited, and the times they gave were 10, 20 and 37 minutes — the 37 came from arriving at 11:35 on a weekend with seven groups ahead. Of the six posts that walked straight in, five went on a weekday and the other at 11 a.m. on a Saturday. You join the queue on the CatchTable kiosk at the door or in the app.
- Ten posts call it large for a Mangwon café; one found it small and cosy. One post counted about thirteen two-seat tables, one communal table and three four-seaters upstairs, and five mention a high ceiling with exposed wooden rafters.
- Eleven posts found it sweet, two less sweet than expected, and two did not decide. One called it extreme sweetness, another too much; posts also suggest sharing — three people found two toasts plenty, and one recommends one toast between two.
- Five posts point out that the americano is machine-brewed drip coffee rather than espresso. Of nine posts that commented on the coffee, two found it weak and one compared it to burnt-pot water; the other six called it low in acidity, nutty or fine.
1 more
- Six posts walked from Mangwon Station, giving 4, 5, 7, 7 and 10 minutes; several say Exit 2 is closest. One admits wondering if it had the right alley, since the shop sits among houses.

Parking

One post parked at a nearby public lot because the shop has none, and one more says there is no parking of its own. The 'no parking' lines in other posts are copied info blocks, which we did not count.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 21 of 27 posts |

| In a basement | yes 0 · no 18 (of 27 posts read) |
| Toilet inside | 6 of 27 posts |
| Separate restrooms | yes 0 · no 1 (of 27 posts read) |
All the seating is upstairs. Twenty-one posts say the ground floor holds the counter, bread shelves and bakery, and you eat on the first floor up. When the buzzer goes you collect your tray downstairs and carry it up the stairs yourself, and dishes go back to the ground floor. Four posts were told, or advise, to claim a table upstairs before ordering.
No post tried getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair. One post's info block says no ramp and no lift, but it is copied, so we did not count it. Every account of reaching the seats is by stairs, and one warns they are a bit steep to climb with a tray. Nobody mentioned whether the entrance has a step — that means we do not know, not that there is none.
Six posts say the toilet is inside: three place it upstairs and one says there is one on each floor. One post notes it is unisex.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- The shop moved here from a cramped space near Mangridan-gil. Three posts say it moved, and one recalls tables jammed together before and a big café now. No post gives the date; a late-July 2026 visit was already at the new place. Every post we read describes the current shop.
- The seasonal French toast changes. Visits from late July to early September 2026 had peach and sweet corn; posts from early September on have fig. Check the shop's own notices for what is on now.
- Thirteen posts agree on opening hours: Monday–Thursday 10:00–20:00 and Friday–Sunday 09:00–21:30 (last orders 19:30 and 21:00). One post has Friday opening at 10, and one says it closes on Thursdays, while two say it never closes. Most of these are copied info blocks, so check before you go.
- Prices come from posts dated late July to October 2026. Three posts gave 16,300 won for the brunch set and one gave 12,900 won for the French toast brunch; we could not tell whether the drink accounts for the gap or the price changed. No post called it expensive.
- Four posts list the phone as 0507-1309-3752 and four as 010-5691-3754; one says the 010 number reaches the shop. No post made a reservation; waiting is handled through CatchTable.
- One post states a 90-minute limit when there is a queue, and another says it heard so. No post was actually asked to leave.
- One post visited with children. The note that there are no high chairs appears only in that post's copied info block, so we did not count it.
