Eunjujeong

은주정 Eunju reads as a given name and -jeong is a suffix used in restaurant names; the posts never say who Eunju is, and the shop's registered name on the Hundred-Year Shop list is Eunju Sikdang (Eunju's Diner).

Eunjujeong is a kimchi-stew house tucked inside the Bangsan Market alleys in Jung-gu, Seoul. At lunch it serves pork kimchi stew meant to be wrapped in leafy greens (13,000 won per person) plus spicy cold noodles (9,000 won); at dinner you grill pork belly at the table and the stew follows (19,000 won per person). It is close to a one-dish house: you say how many you are and the pot, side dishes and a basket of greens arrive. The registered name on the Hundred-Year Shop list is Eunju Sikdang, but every post calls it Eunjujeong. We read 30 posts dated August 2025 to October 2026; 18 of them, from June to October 2026, describe an actual visit (one was a takeout). The other 12 are multi-restaurant lists, write-ups and meal-kit reviews.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Six posts say the portions are large: a party of three couldn't finish three servings, and another found one pot of stew ample for two. Not everyone agrees. One diner who has come for more than ten years says the portion has shrunk a lot, and an October 2026 post felt there was less meat than before while still saying everyone left full.
  2. Four posts call it good value for pork belly plus stew at this price. One regretted that prices keep rising. Three posts say extra greens beyond the first basket are now charged, and one adds that extra rice is too.
  3. Many writers are repeat customers: five posts are by regulars or people on at least their second visit, and another went because her mother has eaten there for 20 years. One long-time customer, by contrast, says this visit was her last.
  4. Service is split. One post found the staff very kind but the owner less so. Another says the older person at the counter suddenly snapped and spoke down to them, and that writer won't go back.
2 more
  1. It looks small from the alley, but two posts say the room is large, with a big hall and another hall further in. One post says there is a second floor that seems to open when the ground floor fills, and another sat at a four-person table by the kitchen on the ground floor. No one mentions a basement.
  2. Companions: groups of three or more (a team of four, two parties of three) in three posts, a partner or spouse in three, a friend in one and a mother in one. Both work-team lunches and evening pork-belly outings show up.

Parking

One post says there is no parking of its own; another drove, parked in a public lot and walked. The receipt discount at the Bangsan Market car park comes from copied listings.

Getting inside

Second floor1 of 15 posts
In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 15 posts read)
Toilet inside1 of 15 posts

Nobody mentions a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That doesn't mean there isn't one; we just don't know.

Only one post says the restroom is indoors. Separate men's and women's restrooms appear only in a copied amenities line, so we didn't count it.

No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 12 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-142 posts in one day
2026-09-132 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • We can't date the price rise. Only one post, from 30 June 2026, gives 12,000 won at lunch and 18,000 at dinner; every other post, including a menu photo from three days earlier, shows 13,000 and 19,000. As of the recent posts a meal is 13,000 won at lunch or 19,000 at dinner, with noodle add-ins and drinks extra.
  • We know little about waiting. No visit post says they queued, and one says they were seated straight away at a weekday lunch. Talk of lunch queues comes only from write-ups and general advice. The rule that solo diners are seated only after 1:30 pm appears only in copied listings, so we don't rely on it.
  • Only one post describes actually coming by public transport: subway there, bus back. Directions from Euljiro 4-ga station appear often, but they are copied. Several posts say it is deep in the alleys and you'll want a map app.
  • Seven visit posts list opening hours, all copied from listings: six say 11:30 to 22:00 and one says 11:00 to 22:00, with last order at 21:30 and Sundays closed. One writer arrived right at 11:30 and found it already open, and one write-up warns to check for Saturday closures.
  • Six posts give 0507-1406-4669 as the phone number and three give 02-2265-4669. No post describes actually making a reservation.
  • Twelve of the 30 posts were written without a visit. Three follow the same template, opening with "the main menu currently confirmed is", and one says outright that it is not a firsthand review. We didn't count their hours, parking or solo-dining notes.
