순희네빈대떡 닭한마리 Sunhui-ne means 'Sunhui's place', the name of the mung-bean pancake (bindaetteok) house the posts tie it to, and dakhanmari means 'one whole chicken' — a whole bird boiled in a pot at the table.

A two-floor dining room in the Dongdaemun dakhanmari alley, between Jongno 5-ga and Dongdaemun stations. A whole chicken arrives in a big aluminium pot, staff cut it up with scissors at your table, and you boil it on the table burner and dip the pieces in a sauce you mix yourself from garlic, soy, chilli paste and mustard. The chicken pot is 33,000 won for two; many posts add a mung-bean pancake (meat or seafood, 12,000 won each) or raw-beef bibimbap (12,000 / 15,000 won), and finish with noodles (2,000 won) or porridge (3,000 won) cooked in the broth. We read 45 posts dated 31 March to 17 October 2026. Five were about the Sunhui-ne pancake stall in Gwangjang Market or other places and were set aside; the other 40 are all meals eaten here.

The restaurant runs on two floors; 18 posts mention the upstairs. One early visitor was seated downstairs and watched the evening crowd being sent up to the second floor. The often-repeated '200 seats' is the restaurant's own figure, copied by bloggers.
There's no basement seating: two posts describe walking in at street level, and none mention a lower floor.
No one described the entrance step or actually getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair. 'Wheelchair accessible' and 'pushchair OK' appear only in copied listing blocks — so we simply don't know.
Two posts place the toilets inside, next to the kitchen, and two say they are separate for men and women. Nobody mentioned an accessible toilet.

What we do not know
- Nobody wrote that they queued. Five posts walked straight in, including a weekend 1:30 pm, a Sunday 2 pm and a weekday noon visit. One early-lunch visitor on a holiday felt they had only just beaten a queue, and another found the room full at the evening peak — so walk-in luck isn't guaranteed at busy times.
- Summer cooling is mixed: four posts found the air-conditioning strong, while one July holiday visit by a party of eight found it weak, with neighbouring tables also complaining about the heat.
- Six posts found the place clean; one found kimchi-juice stains on the table and a poorly washed plate, which was replaced as soon as they mentioned it.
- Saltiness after the noodles go in is split: one post found it turned salty, one advised adding water if it does, and one said it wasn't salty at all.
- Prices went up once. A March 2026 post paid 30,000 won for the chicken and 21,000 for raw beef; from May the chicken is 33,000, and July–August menus list the beef at 23,000. With only one March post, all we can say is the rise came between March and May. Two people with one noodle add-in pay 35,000 won; a family of eight paid 101,000 won for two pots plus sides. One post notes a 15% discount for police, military, firefighters and civil servants.
- Opening hours are mostly given as 10:30–22:30 daily, but nearly all of these are copied from the listing. Five posts say otherwise: Monday–Saturday with Sundays closed, Monday–Friday, 11:00–22:00 with no day off, 10:00–22:30 daily, and 10 am to 11:30 pm. One post ate here at 2 pm on a Sunday, which contradicts the Sunday closure, but check before you go.
- Most posts give the phone number as 0507-1418-1443; one gives 0502-500-5700. Naver booking is mentioned only in copied listing info, and one post walked in without a reservation.
- Posts from October 2026 share a template — the same 'between Jongno 5-ga and Dongdaemun stations', '200 seats', 'Japanese regulars' and three signature dishes in the same order, and one still has an unfilled photo placeholder. One post discloses sponsorship, three say they paid themselves, and the rest say nothing. Claims that the place dates from 1994, that it is newly opened, or that it belongs to the Gwangjang Market pancake house are all hearsay, and we didn't count them.
