A shabu-shabu place two floors below ground in Jongno Tower, by Jonggak Station. You order one main shabu set and help yourself to the self bar: vegetables, noodles and rice cakes, rice-paper wraps, bibimbap, porridge, coffee and ice cream. Weekday lunch runs 14,900 won for the vegetable set and 16,900 won for beef brisket. Three posts give 19,900 won for the brisket set at dinner and on weekends. One post points out the meat is not unlimited: you get 80 g per person, once. We read 11 posts from July 17 to October 9, 2026, and 8 of them describe an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. You order at your own table. Four posts describe ordering by kiosk or at the table. One found it confusing, because the meat and seafood are picked on screen rather than taken from the self bar; a friend who had been there before ended up doing the ordering. Another post says the kiosk lets you split the bill.
  2. Four posts call the room spacious, with roomy tables, plenty of them, and decent gaps in between. Many visits were group outings: a birthday dinner, five friends, and seven coworkers split across a table of four and a table of three.
  3. Three posts went with a reservation. One booked a group lunch through Naver and wrote that they got seated without waiting.
  4. Three posts note it is close to Jonggak Station; one names exit 3 and another exit 3-1. Four posts mention in their own words that the restaurant is on the second basement level.

  1. One post mentions high chairs and baby plates, and two more note separate tableware for children. One family who came with their kids for dinner said the bulgogi gave the children something to eat, and everyone ate well.

Where it is

Map showing where Syabeugadeun Jongnotawojeom is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

Three posts note it is close to Jonggak Station; one names exit 3 and another exit 3-1. Four posts mention in their own words that the restaurant is on the second basement level.

Getting inside

In a basement4 of 8 posts

No post mentions a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller, and we don't know whether there is an elevator down to B2. That means nobody wrote about it, not that the access is missing.

No post says whether the restroom is inside the restaurant or separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 11 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • One post says it gets a bit loud and echoey when crowded. No post calls it quiet.
  • Posts split on value. One calls it a good-value lunch; another felt other places offer a more varied self bar for a similar price. One post mentions a 3,000-won charge for leaving self-bar food uneaten.
  • No post describes waiting or walking straight in. Three went with a reservation, so we don't know what the lunch line is like.
  • Four posts list opening hours of 10:30 to 21:30, and two of them give last order at 20:10. All of these are copied from the listing. No post mentions a closing day.
  • Two posts give the phone number as 02-6953-0486 and one as 0507-1359-1034. Posts that booked did it through Naver Reservation.
  • We set aside three of the 11 posts. One is an entry in a food-court roundup, and one is a date-course post that only snapped a photo walking past. The third describes 'Jongno views through floor-to-ceiling windows' at a restaurant two floors underground, so we could not treat it as a real visit.
