A grilled-and-braised fish restaurant on the ground floor of the Le Meilleur Jongno Town building, inside the Pimatgol alley. Oven-roasted mackerel, hairtail, Atka mackerel or flounder come with pot rice, seaweed soup and about seven side dishes; set meals were listed at 13,000 to 17,500 won. In autumn 2026 the most-ordered dish was the new spicy braised hairtail, eaten in ten posts. We read 30 posts from 18 August to 10 October 2026: we counted 17 visits, set aside 11 near-identical commissioned pieces and one listicle, and dropped one post about a different shop.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Most people found the spicy hairtail braise genuinely hot: eight posts said so, one said it was not very hot, and two were undecided. One warned it is hotter than Buldak and suggested the regular braise for anyone who avoids heat.
  2. Five posts said the portions were large — a whole grilled hairtail the writer could not finish, and a two-person braise that seemed far bigger than two servings.
  3. Waits split two and two: one holiday lunch had a growing line and one weekend 5:40 pm visit waited 10 minutes, while a holiday 1:30 pm and a Saturday lunch walked straight in. A menu board outside lets people choose while they wait.
  4. Three posts mention a receipt-review offer: a small grilled flounder or a soft drink.

Getting inside

Second floor10 of 17 posts
In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 17 posts read)
Separate restrooms1 of 17 posts

There is seating on two floors. Ten posts mention the upstairs, several were seated there, and one noted the second floor has a lower ceiling but more tables. Nobody went downstairs; one post was seated on the ground floor.

We do not know whether there is a step at the door or whether anyone came in with a wheelchair or stroller. One post copies 'wheelchair accessible' from the listing, but nobody described it first-hand.

Only one post covers the toilets: separate men's and women's, on the same floor of the building, no door code. Whether they are inside the restaurant or shared with the building is unclear.

No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 12 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-09-308 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Eleven posts from 26 September to 1 October 2026 repeat the same phrases in the same order and never say what was eaten or paid, so we treated them as commissioned copy and did not count them. The spicy hairtail braise does not appear in the August post and shows up as a new item from late September.
  • Company does not cluster: one couple, one family, one pair of friends and one solo diner; the rest do not say. Many posts call it good for office dinners, but none describes going as a large group.
  • Opening hours: eleven visit posts give 10:30 to 21:00 with last orders at 20:30, and one gives 11:00 to 22:00. All of these are copied info blocks rather than checked times. Two posts say the restaurant opens every day.
  • Prices vary slightly between posts: the two-person spicy hairtail braise is given as 39,900, 38,000 and 39,000 won, while two posts agree on 19,500 won for one. A single set meal runs 13,000 to 17,500 won, plus 1,500 won if pot rice is added separately.
  • Most posts give the phone number as 070-7655-4488; one gives 0507-1486-4488. Reservations are mentioned only in copied listing text; nobody wrote about booking.
