Gwanghwamun Mijin is a buckwheat-noodle house on the ground floor of the Le Meilleur Jongno Town building, between Jonggak and Gwanghwamun stations, with a second floor of seating as well. The signature is naengmemil: 12,000 won gets two trays of cold buckwheat noodles, dipped in chilled broth poured from a kettle, with scallion, grated radish, laver and wasabi added to taste. Many diners add the house pork cutlet (12,000 won), bossam, or buckwheat crepe rolls (7,000 won). We read 30 posts dated 11 May to 16 October 2026: 11 were about other places (including 4 about the similarly named Mijin charcoal tripe bar and 1 about the Seocho branch), 5 were lists or introductions, and 14 describe an actual meal here.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Expect to wait at mealtimes. Of 11 posts that discuss waiting, 10 waited. The times they recorded were 10, 25, 35, 40 and 40 minutes, and "nearly two hours"; the queues ahead of them were 31, 39, "over 40" and 103 parties. One diner found 31 parties ahead even at 3 p.m. on a weekend. You take a number at the Tabling machine by the door; one post mentions a notice estimating about a minute per party and a KakaoTalk alert when ten parties remain. One post walked straight in, on a rainy weekday just after noon.
- The wait is long but the food is fast. Five posts said dishes arrived soon after ordering; one timed it at ten seconds for the table setting, one minute for the noodles and three for the crepe rolls. No post said food was slow.
- Of 8 posts that talked about portions, 7 called them large. One diner could not finish the two trays of noodles; another was surprised that one cutlet order came as two pieces. One post found the rice with the cutlet small.
- The pork cutlet is consistently described as crisp: 5 of the 6 posts that discussed texture said so, and 2 called the meat thick. One post identifies the sauce as the old-style Korean-Western kind.

- Most mains are 12,000 won. Every post from May to October that gave the naengmemil price gave 12,000 won, no one called it expensive, and 4 posts called it good value. A meal is 12,000 won for one naengmemil, or 24,000 won for two sharing noodles and a cutlet.

Parking
1 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Only one post actually parked: in the building's basement garage, with two free hours validated at the till — but the wait ran past two hours and they paid extra. Other mentions of two free hours are copied from the listing, so we did not count them.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| Second floor | 5 of 13 posts |

| In a basement | yes 0 · no 5 (of 13 posts read) |
The restaurant spans two floors. Five posts were seated upstairs, and four described the room as spacious. A solo diner noted being given a four-person table.
No one wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller, nor whether the second floor is reached by stairs or a lift. That means nobody mentioned it, not that there is a problem.
We don't know whether the toilet is inside the restaurant or whether it is separated by sex; no post mentioned it.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 18 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
| 2026-10-15 | 3 posts in one day |

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posts disagree on remote queuing: two say the Tabling app cannot be used remotely and you must register at the machine by the door, while one advises joining from home. No post says the restaurant takes reservations. The phone number, given in five posts, is 02-730-6198.
- Opening hours: six posts give daily 10:30–21:00 with last order at 20:30, but all copy the listing. One says there is no afternoon break. No post mentions a closing day.
- Several posts say it is a five-minute walk from Jonggak Station exit 1, but that is copied information; nobody described actually arriving by subway or bus.
- Three posts came with children, including a six- and an eight-year-old, but none said whether high chairs or children's cutlery are available.
