MOSS

모스 Moseu Moss — the bar is themed as 'moss in the city', with green lighting, moss decor and moss laid under the table glass.

Compiled from 28 blog posts read in fullSources →

A Korean traditional-liquor bar on the second floor of an alley building near Euljiro 3-ga Station exit 11. It pours makgeolli, yakju, cheongju and spirits — plus whisky and cognac — by the glass or bottle, alongside small Korean-fusion plates from 9,000 to 34,000 won, such as boiled pork jowl with rocket kimchi (34,000) and doenjang ragu capellini (18,000). Three seasoned greens come free with drinks; seating is mostly at the bar, with one table for parties of four or more. It opens at 6 pm; 2025 posts list closing at 2 am (last order 1 am), while autumn 2026 posts give 1 am Monday–Thursday and 2 am Friday–Saturday. We read 30 posts from November 2024 to October 2026; 28 were first-hand visits (the other two are listings of newly opened restaurants from November 2024).

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. Three seasoned greens arrive as soon as you order a drink — 22 of the 28 visits mentioned them. The set changes with the season: cucumber, chamnamul and young-radish kimchi in September–October 2026, perilla leaf and chard in July–August 2026, other wild greens in May 2025. One writer asked to buy some to take home and was told they are not sold.
  2. Ordering alcohol is required: nine posts copied the house rules from the first page of the menu, all reading one glass per person or one bottle per table (one post adds that non-alcoholic drinks count). Seven posts also noted a time limit when others are waiting — 2.5 hours in a March 2025 post, 2 hours from May 2025 on. Leftover bottles of 500 ml or more can be kept for a 10,000-won fee, except at weekends.
  3. Posts single it out as quiet for Euljiro: 19 of 28 called it calm or quiet, often contrasting it with the shouting-volume bars outside. Nine went on a date, five with friends, one alone and one with a sibling. One post said the no-kids policy keeps it quiet.
  4. The kitchen is open to the bar: 11 posts said you can watch the cooking, several adding that it looked clean. Seven posts said the toilets are separate for men and women, and two noticed cotton swabs and floss set out.

Assume there is no parking: three posts said so in their own words, and the rest copied 'no parking' plus names of nearby paid lots. One notes that since drinks are mandatory you may as well leave the car.

Getting inside

Toilet insideyes 3 · no 1 (of 28 posts read)
Separate restrooms7 of 28 posts

The bar is on the second floor: 14 posts described going up by stairs or lift, and four of them mention an elevator. Several note menu posters along the stairwell and a '2F MOSS' light projected on the alley floor. Sixteen posts put it a 1–5 minute walk from Euljiro 3-ga Station.

We don't know about steps at the door or wheelchair or stroller access. Four posts mention an elevator, but none says whether there is a step between it and the door — that is not a 'no', just that nobody wrote it.

Whether the toilet is inside the bar is split: three posts used it from inside or on the same floor, while one had to take a separate key card to open it — another post also mentions key-card access, suggesting a building toilet.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • No post describes waiting. One writer arrived around 7 pm on a weekday and saw three or four groups come in by 7:30; several advise booking because seats are few. That is not proof there is no wait — nobody wrote about one.
  • Opening hours seem to have changed several times: posts from March and May 2025 list a 5 pm opening, October 2025–January 2026 posts give 6 pm–2 am Monday–Saturday (last order 1 am), and most September–October 2026 posts give 6 pm–1 am Monday–Thursday, 6 pm–2 am Friday–Saturday, closed Sunday. Two late-September and early-October posts instead copied a Monday closure with 2 am closing Friday–Sunday. All of these are copied blocks, so check before going.
  • Prices have crept up: doenjang ragu pasta went from 15,000 won (March 2025) to 17,000 (May 2025, January 2026) and 18,000 (from September 2026); Seoseol cheongju from 28,000 (May 2025) to 35,000 (October 2026). Two posts gave a bill: 113,000 won for three plates and three drinks in May 2025, and 59,000 won for two pastas, fries and two drinks for two in January 2026. Two posts called it reasonably priced.
  • The phone number 0507-1426-5899 is copied across many posts. Several say you can book through Naver or CatchTable, but none says they actually booked.
  • Sponsored content is mixed in: one post discloses sponsorship, one says some items were complimentary, and several August–September 2026 posts repeat the same phrases in the same order — the owner's '20+ years in food service', separate toilets, roomy spacing — suggesting commissioned copy. Claims heard from the bar, such as the owner's career or greens made fresh each morning, are not used as evidence.
