Ugojip

우고집 Jip means house; the posts give no reading for 'Ugo', and the place is a beef-grill house.

Compiled from 27 blog posts read in fullSources →

Ugojip is a beef-grill restaurant in the basement of Banpo Shopping Town Building 5, right outside exit 8-2 of Express Bus Terminal station. It opens at 3 pm, and you grill the meat yourself at the table. Cuts are sold by the 100 g, but most diners ordered a set. In posts from August 2026 on, the couple set (400 g of brisket, rib finger and hanger steak, with brisket doenjang stew) is 49,000 won and the signature set (600 g) is 79,000 won. In November and December 2025 the same sets were 42,000 and 75,000 won and came with steamed egg instead of the stew. We read 30 posts dated 26 November 2025 to 26 October 2026; 28 of them describe an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. No post calls it expensive. Twenty-three describe it as good value, and one worked out that two people with stew came to under 25,000 won each. A June 2026 post by the owner's son says a new Korean-beef place next door sells sets of similar size for about 10,000 won more.
  2. It is close to the station: nine posts say it is easy by subway. Walking times from exit 8-2 range from 20 seconds to five minutes; the usual directions are past the KFC and down into Building 5.
  3. Two posts waited: one for a minute or two, the other signed a waiting list because a large group had nearly filled the room. Five saw the waiting list or tablet at the door but didn't wait themselves, or only guessed it gets busy. Two arrived before the dinner rush and sat straight down. One mentions chairs outside for waiting.
  4. Of the posts that say who they went with, eight went with friends, four with family and two as a couple. Most were pairs ordering the couple set. 'Family gathering' and 'wedding-invitation dinner' keep appearing in titles and hashtags, but none of the posts describes a large group.

  1. Staff don't grill for you; two posts say so. Several say the owner or staff told them to start with the thin brisket. Fifteen posts call the staff friendly, and two mention side dishes being refilled.

Posts saying you can park2 of 27 posts

Two posts mention parking in their own words, both saying 30 minutes free. The rest copied listings that changed over time: 3,000 won per 55 minutes (capped at 3,000) in December 2025 and May 2026, and 30 minutes free from August 2026. The one post that came by car parked at the Han River park lot.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

Toilet insideyes 0 · no 1 (of 27 posts read)
Separate restrooms1 of 27 posts

It is underground. Fifteen posts describe going down into the arcade basement; three mention stairs and one says stairs or a lift. Several say it doesn't feel stuffy for a basement. It sits at the end of an inner corridor, and one writer noted the sign is hard to see from the street.

No one said whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That means we don't know, not that it is impossible. Only one post mentions a lift.

One post (October 2026) says the toilets are in the arcade corridor, separate for men and women, not inside the restaurant. Three others only copied the listing's 'separate toilets'.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Corkage is unclear. One post brought a bottle and paid nothing; another says corkage is charged, and the copied listings say both. One writer says the free bottle comes as a coupon for subscribing to the restaurant's Naver notifications, so it may be conditional. Ask first.
  • Prices depend on when the post was written. The couple set was 42,000 won in late 2025, 43,000 in May 2026 and 49,000 from August 2026, and its included side changed from steamed egg to doenjang stew. The receipt-review perk was a 5-10% discount in December 2025 and a free grilling cheese from September 2026. Two October 2026 posts give different prices for rice: 1,000 and 1,500 won.
  • Twenty posts give opening hours, all copied from listings: nineteen say 3 pm to 11 pm daily (last order 10 pm), and one says 3 pm to 10 pm. There is no lunch service. One post says it opens every day of the year.
  • The phone number given in ten posts is 0507-1396-1669; two give 02-532-1669. One writer called to ask about the wait and was offered a reservation on the spot, and some posts copy that Naver booking is available.
  • That it began in Building 3 in 2018 and reopened here on 13 October 2025 comes from copied listings and hearsay (the son is said to have taken over from his father). The son's own post says he opened Ugojip on that date. Every post we read is from after the move.
  • Of the 21 posts from 9 September to 26 October 2026, 18 carry the same title phrase ('Express Bus Terminal restaurant, meat house'), and the same hashtag bundle keeps recurring, so some are likely promotional. Four disclose sponsorship or a reviewer program. In June 2026 the owner's son wrote that the place was close to closing and that he had urged putting doenjang stew on every table and running review events. From August the sets include the stew and the free-cheese review offer appears.
