Okbong Galbi
옥봉갈비 Galbi means ribs, here pork ribs grilled over charcoal; Okbong is a proper name and the posts give no meaning for it.

A pork-rib grill house in an alley inside Saemaeul Market, near Jamsil Saenae station. Unmarinated aged pork ribs are 19,000 won a portion and herb-marinated ribs 18,000 won; pairs often order the 53,000-won signature set, which adds spicy marinated crab and a cheese-and-roe steamed egg to two portions of ribs. Staff grill the meat over charcoal, and meals end with soybean or kimchi stew (8,000 won each) or cold noodles (7,000 won). We read 30 posts dated 20 January to 22 October 2026; 6 were about other restaurants and 3 were promo copy or list entries, leaving 21 posts written by people who actually ate here.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- You don't grill your own meat. Of the 21 visit posts, 15 said staff did the grilling. One couple panicked when two portions went on the grill at once, then watched a server come back with a pair of tongs in each hand and finish it all; another simply wrote that staff grill everything. Mushrooms, corn and garlic scapes go on the grill too.
- There are private rooms as well as the main hall; 7 posts saw or used one. A family of 12 had an eight-seat and a four-seat room opened into one; a group of three booked a room decorated with old cameras and telephones; another got a same-day Saturday booking for 5 pm.
- Many posts say there are queues at dinner, yet many walked straight in. Four posts reported queues from experience — one warned of waits of an hour or more at dinner, another saw people waiting out front after 6 pm. Seven were inconclusive: visits at 6 pm on 10 August (holiday season), 1:30 pm on a weekday ('nearly empty') and after 8 pm all got in without waiting. Five posts mention a seated waiting area in front of the restaurant.
- When others are waiting, tables are limited to two hours. Two posts confirmed this first-hand: one saw the notice at the entrance, the other asked a server and was told they could stay longer if it wasn't busy. Other posts only repeated it second-hand.
3 more
- Four posts describe a wall of signatures from athletes and entertainers — one spotted NC Dinos catcher Park Se-hyuk's, another a footballer who had visited days earlier. Jamsil Baseball Stadium is close, and posts mention many diners coming after games.
- Being inside a traditional market, it accepts Onnuri market vouchers, as three posts noted.
- Three posts said it's an easy walk from the station — six or seven minutes from Jamsil Saenae, straight on from exit 3 past the food alley. Two posts noted it is tucked inside the market rather than on a main road and took a little finding the first time.

Parking
1 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Expect parking to be difficult. One post said there is no dedicated lot and you must use nearby public car parks; another guessed the narrow lanes would make it hard. Lists of nearby public lots in other posts were copied from the restaurant's own listing, so we did not count them.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Three posts said it's an easy walk from the station — six or seven minutes from Jamsil Saenae, straight on from exit 3 past the food alley. Two posts noted it is tucked inside the market rather than on a main road and took a little finding the first time.
Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 1 of 21 posts |
|---|
No post says which floor the restaurant is on or whether there are stairs. The address says ground floor, but nobody described it from experience.
We don't know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair can get in. One family left their pushchair in the waiting area; nobody wrote about taking a pushchair or wheelchair inside. That means no one said, not that there is a barrier.
Only one post mentions the toilet, in passing — a private room 'over by the toilets' — which suggests it is inside the restaurant. Nobody said whether it is separated by gender or how big it is.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 24 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posted hours vary a little. Of 12 posts listing them, 8 agree on 11:30–23:00 daily with a 15:00–16:30 break, and 4 give last orders at 22:00. Others list an 11:00 opening with a 14:30 break, a 12:00 opening, or different weekday and weekend hours, so check before going. All of these were copied from the restaurant's listing.
- Prices were consistent across posts: 19,000 won for aged ribs, 53,000 for the signature set, 64,000 for the Okcharim set, 8,000 for either stew. Only one post called anything expensive — the kimchi stew, 'a bit pricey' — and the rest gave no verdict on what a meal costs.
- Eight posts list the phone number as 0507-1362-0479; one gives 0507-1428-5016. Posts mention booking through Naver or by phone, and five said they had booked ahead.
- Two posts reproduced the restaurant's own promotional copy (grade-1 Korean pork, 24- and 100-hour ageing, review-event perks), and the same paragraph turned up pasted into a post about a different restaurant. We did not count those posts, nor claims the restaurant makes about itself such as being second-generation or selling only 30 portions of ribs a day.
