OTC COFFEE
오티씨커피 익선 Otissi Keopi Ikseon OTC is the coffee brand's name — one post says it stands for 'Over The Cafe' — and Ikseon is the Ikseon-dong hanok quarter where this branch stands.

OTC Coffee Ikseon fills a whole three-storey building in the hanok alleys of Ikseon-dong, near exit 4 of Jongno 3-ga station. You order at the ground-floor counter and carry your tray up to the glass-walled second floor or the rooftop, done up with roof tiles and earthenware jars. The most-ordered item is the OTC SET — two americanos and churros for 21,000 won (7 posts) — followed by the Gat SET, tiramisu in a scholar's-hat dish with oranda and a traditional drink, at 22,000–23,000 won (4 posts). We read 30 posts dated 4 September to 8 October 2026; 27 describe a visit. Two were about other shops and one was a list of five big cafes, so we did not count those. Early-September posts describe it as newly opened.

Rows without a count: 9 of 13 posts.
Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The rooftop is the draw: 19 of the 27 visits mention it. It is a hanok-style roof terrace with jars and tiles, and 3 posts mention floor-style low tables. Posts from daytime visits in August and early September mostly looked, took photos and retreated to the second floor because of the heat; those who went after dark or on cool days liked the lights and breeze. One called the rooftop small but lovely.
- Three posts say the churros are fried to order and 9 describe them as crisp. Not everyone agreed: one found them hollow inside, one ate them cold and called them ordinary, and one found both coffee and churros disappointing. Four posts called the portions generous — one of those was about the tiramisu.
- The verdict leans expensive: 5 posts say so, 1 says the value is fine, and 1 calls it a bit pricey but about normal these days. Prices given: Classic americano 5,500 won, single churro 5,300, mixed churros 12,000, gat-tiramisu 11,000, OTC SET 21,000 — about 10,500 won each if two share the set.
- Six posts noticed many foreign visitors — posing by the tiger-tail sculpture at the door, sitting on the ground floor, buying the Chuseok gift boxes. One notes signage in several languages.

- Five posts found it an easy walk from Jongno 3-ga station: 150–170 m, 3–5 minutes from exit 4, though the alleys branch, so keep a map open. Another post walked up from exit 6.
- Six posts went on a date, 4 with friends, 2 alone and 1 with a child. One solo visitor worked on a tablet on the second floor, and another post recommends it for laptop work.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Five posts found it an easy walk from Jongno 3-ga station: 150–170 m, 3–5 minutes from exit 4, though the alleys branch, so keep a map open. Another post walked up from exit 6.
Getting inside
| Second floor | 14 of 27 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 27 posts read) |
| Toilet inside | 2 of 27 posts |
| Separate restrooms | yes 0 · no 1 (of 27 posts read) |
The layout: counter and street-facing seats that open right up on the ground floor, a glass-walled hall on the second, the rooftop above. 14 posts describe the second floor and 13 mention the big windows. One describes a long bar-style table along the second-floor windows with slightly high but comfortable chairs; another says the tables are mostly for two. One post notes the shop starts at street level; none mention a basement.
Nobody wrote about steps at the door, ramps, a lift, or getting in with a wheelchair or pram — that means unknown, not absent. Posts climbed stairs to the second floor and roof, one warning not to trip on them, and the toilet is upstairs.
Two posts say the toilet is inside, on the second floor, and you collect a key from the ground-floor counter. One describes a single unisex stall on the way up to the roof; the other says keys get handed customer to customer, so it is hard to tell who has it. A 'separate men's and women's toilets' line in one post was copied from a listing, so we did not count it.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Staff reports split one to one: one visitor spilled coffee and staff came up, cleaned, and replaced the churros free; another, soon after opening, found them unfriendly and flustered.
- No post mentions queueing, so we do not know whether there is a wait. Crowds vary: 3 weekday visits (3 pm, early afternoon, evening) found it quiet, 1 found it busy even on a weekday, and 1 says it gets loud and hectic when full on weekends and holidays. Another found it nearly full but seats turned over fast.
- Opening hours appear in 13 visit posts, all copied from listings. Nine give 9 am–9:30 pm, to 10:30 pm on Friday and Saturday; 2 say 9:30 pm every day; 1 says 9 am–9 pm with no closing day; 1 has 10:30 pm on both weekend days, so only that post differs on Sunday.
- The Gat SET price varies: 22,000 won on 7 Sep 2026 and 23,000 won on 13 Sep (one drink each), and 26,000 won with two drinks on DatePop's own blog on 1 Oct. We could not tell a price rise from a different bundle.
- The phone number 0507-1351-3258 appears in several posts' copied info blocks. No post says whether reservations are taken.
- Three posts tie back to DatePop, a voucher app: two carry the same affiliate-link disclosure and the same promotional blurb and paid with discounted vouchers, and one is DatePop's own blog. We counted their visits, but prices quoted there may be voucher prices.
